Same basic set-up as last year
Note in the link it asks for registration. While this is not required, it does help to have a ball park of numbers so we can have enough food, chairs, etc

Anyone surprised that CTG will not be on the show? It's just the coaches of the premier winter sports teams, so not surprised.

Appropriate level of pablum from coach Carmody. He's a pro, no way he was going to say anything controversial or letting anything out of the bag. One thing I did note, however, was he wants to develop a nine-man rotation. Wonder who will be among those nine?

The response of the evening was Carmody's response to NAD's question about his offense . . . . or should I say, lack of response?
NAD got an eyeroll from me.

Coach mentioned RChamp might be the choice to be in the back of the 1-3-1. Gave CLS the edge in where the frosh are right now. Also said that AnT has gotten stronger over the summer, and hopes that he will do a better job driving through contact at the rim (like he did as a frosh).
He also mentioned his speaking with with AnT about his shooting after the season was over. Paraphrasing here, but it was basically "hey man, you took 10 shots a game. If you don't shoot it better you will be getting half those shots". Coach thinks he will shoot it better.
That prompted me to ask my question: In a long winded fashion, I was trying to get him to give his thoughts on how much stock he put into the 5 offensive positions on a team. I got about 4 words out before he intejected "Make Shots!!". After, he said he did not like constraining players with labels regarding what position they played; basically, he looks for having multiple players with multiple skills. So, it doesn't sound like he cares who gets the shots, points, assists, rebounds, etc. He also pointed out it was in his background (I think alluding to his Princeton upbringing).
Fun night to get in the mood for the season.

Will you please tell us this non-response ? It's the type of player he is recruiting.. I'd paraphrase his philosophy as "it's not the x's and o's, it's all about he Jimmy's and Joe's."

Thanks for the info was KC's injury mentioned ? No.
Someone asked a generic health question. There was a basic non-response that privacy issues precluded him discussing players' health
On a related note, after the event they did the radio show live. Coach Carmody was asked who would take Hamilton's spot in the starting line-up. The response to the interviewer was " I'm not telling YOU"
I don't think Coach Carmody is the type to share juicy insider details

I just watched the Coaches Show. I'm a huge fan of CBC but.........he insulted Brian, the interviewer. I'm sorry. It was uncalled for.
