He coached New Mex State for two years, including a 25-9 record his second season, then jumped to an NBA head coaching job that did not work out well for him, did some assistant NBA work and also coached Cal-Northridge.with zero success there.

Bethune Cookman just hired a new women's basketball coach as well. To hire both basketball coaches in early July is....Odd? Also, pretty weak of BCU to keep interim coach Dominique Taylor twisting in the wind until after July 1 when players can no longer transfer while hiring a 63 year old ex-NBA player that 95% of high school kids have probably never heard of, despite a very good career, and who has been out of coaching for three years. Not to mention he drove the CS-Northridge program into the ground, had violations under his watch, then topped that off by engaging in a first fight with the AD that got both guys fired. I hope HC buries them by 25

You should also “always beat” D-2 and D-3 teams too but we don’t.
Some have raised the bar of expectations for the coming season. I’ll wait and see despite great pictures of players lifting weights and wrestling with tires.

I'm one of those wackos who like all kinds of info on any possible opponents.....hoping the rest of the schedule leaks out pretty soon.

Who gives a rat's ass what Bethune-Cookman does. Are you always this much of a dick? You can easily skip over my comment if you don't find it relevant

Who gives a rat's ass what Bethune-Cookman does. It can be helpful to see what possible opponents are doing. In this case, I see it as a reminder that HC's plans (always seeming to be criticized by the same critic), put us in a pretty good position. Things could always be worse but lately they seem to be getting steadily better.

Did Ky Luc’s teammate at Brimmer and May, Gianni Thompson, maintain his commitment to BC after their coaching change.

It would be so nice to get the Earl Grant regime off to a rocky start. So, we've got: BC Air Force Bryant/Bethune C Siena Fairfield UNH Another ACC (Pitt)? A-10 in same city (Duquesne)? 2 D-2s That would be 10 OOC games. I'm assuming that tourney allows for a 31 game schedule (?). If so, there could be 3 other games. In terms of team development, and transitioning into a normal post Covid routine, not a bad schedule (I can live with the D-2 games THIS year).

Many schools schedule a D2 or D3 at the end of exams, a tuneup after a long layoff, that sort of thing. But two of them?
The nostalgia in me would want one of them to be Assumption. The cynic in me wants no part of them, even though I don't recall them being particularly good lately.

Assumption's website has October 29 at Holy Cross That date feels like a pre-season exhibition. That was kind of an annual thing for a while going back to the days when each school featured a Beinert brother

Skipped last year due to pandemic.
