Former Hawaii star QB Colt Brennan passed away at a rehab facility in California today. He led Hawaii to an undefeated regular season and Sugar Bowl appearance in 2007 where they were absolutely steamrolled by Georgia.
I forget the details but he had some demons that he overcame early in his college career en route to stardom in Honolulu. May have been domestic violence and/or alcohol related but I don't remember exactly. I recall he was kicked out of school at the University of Colorado and ended up transferring to Hawaii.
Prior to college, Colt also spent at least one year at Worcester Academy. He was a teammate there of Rory Glowik HC Class of 2009.
Colt was drafted by the Redskins but didn't last particularly long in the NFL. His single season TD record was eclipsed by Joe Burrow two years ago.
