Nothing to report but why not start a thread.
What a difference a pandemic makes.....
At this time last year HC had made some form of 150 offers. Jake Jarmolovich was offer #16 in terms of being the earliest offer to ultimately commit and sign.
It's so difficult to determine how HC is going to go about recruiting this year because none of us know how many scholarships they have to give and how many roster spots they are recruiting to - along with positions.
In addition - none of us know how many of the Seniors to be in the fall would come back for their 4th year of eligibility in the Fall of 2022.
They only thing I can go off of is I've heard they'll be searching for 7-10 players this recruiting period versus the 18 Freshman they have coming in this class. But that's hearsay. I'd have to imagine that once HC sets their June/July camp dates you'll see offers coming directly out of those camps. There are many other schools including MA schools which have set their camp dates so I do believe HC will be hosting camps.
In the past HC has had as many as 10/12 verbals by the end of the summer. We'll see what happens over the next 3 months.

I believe -- but I am not certain -- that the NCAA has extended the quiet period for the 2022 recruiting cycle until the end of June. In my thinking, that would prevent contact with potential recruits and this is why we have not seen any recruiting activity or offers as yet. But, as I said, I'm not certain about this.
It makes sense that the expanded eligibility for players already in the program will affect the number of recruits being sought, and a recruiting class of about 7 - 10 players seems to be very realistic.

Chesney said never before has it been this difficult for a HS senior to get recruited. With each player at every level receiving an extra year of eligibility and the significant number of kids in the transfer portal, the HS Class of '22 will face challenges never before seen in the recruiting landscape. Other coaches have said the same thing, that their recruiting classes could be 40%-50% smaller than recent years.

There’s a story on BC’s site that says h s prospects can visit campus next month - combined with today’s announcement that masks are not necessary anywhere provided you’re vaccinated, this recruiting cycle should be back to normal with the Luth on display

I’m surprised that HC Football hasn’t announced their summer camp dates yet. Most schools, especially the Ivies, announced their dates a few weeks ago. Seems to me that we are somewhat behind in that area.

It looks like we'll have 30 seniors on the '21 fall season roster. Recruiting 10 for the '22 season suggests that as many as 20 of these seniors might return for a 5th yr in '22?

Seems to me that we are somewhat behind in that area. I have an indistinct memory of ADMB mentioning sports camps during one of his webinars. With Pfizer's vaccine now allowed for 12-15 years olds, I would think that removes a major barrier to camps; i.e., unvaccinated kids living and eating on campus.

According to Joe Lang's bio on the HC football roster, he has one brother named Andrew -- so I suspect that the answer to your question is "No."
According to Ethan's Twitter page, he attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, but says he is "Jersey made." His Hudl page indicates that he attended Bergen Catholic HS in New Jersey prior to going to IMG Academy.

At 6'3", 275 his HUDL video looked like he is in the. "good but not spectacular" category. (assuming he is the Crozier from Cardinal Gibbons H.S. in Florida. IMHO, he could develop under the HC coaching staff.
According to Larry Blustein: Here is a quality talent that combines everything his brothers have had along the way – as they all moved on to the next level. He is tough, athletic, smart and has a passion to the play the position. His knowledge of watching his brothers all perform have taught him plenty about work ethic and what it takes to get to the next level have certainly been very helpful. Technically, you can see that he is becoming one of the best in his class. Once the season begins, he could be one of the elite prospects that colleges will want to check out.
