I could be wrong but I think the Worcester library parking lot is right across the street from Polar Park.

I could be wrong but I think the Worcester library parking lot is right across the street from Polar Park. Unfortunately, there is a street plus the Providence and Worcester RR tracks. Still about a 10 minute walk down McGrath Blvd. to Madison St.

I could be wrong but I think the Worcester library parking lot is right across the street from Polar Park. Unfortunately, there is a street plus the Providence and Worcester RR tracks. When you park there you can hear the crack of the bat, but you still have a decent hike in front of you and after dark be mindful of stepping over curbs, etc. It would be nice of HC to offer a shuttle bus from the HC parking garage and Hart Center parking lots. Of course that might deter "spin off" business the community was promised when they dug deep for the stadium.

Why would HC foot the bill for for something that doesn't benefit them?

There would be a fee to Holy Cross commensurate with parking fees but it would alleviate congestion and older fans would be dropped off and picked up in front of the stadium so they wouldn't have to trek through Worcester at night to find their car after the game is over.
Anything that enhances the fan experience at an HC game benefits HC. I don't know if it has been addressed, but there were early concerns of nearby establishments losing business during games because their regular non-ballgame customers had nowhere to park.
It would be an option for fans who want to go to the game but not stay and party in the city afterwards.

Whose gonna make sure all who took the shuttle are getting back on while a bus(es) clog Madison St. waiting for stragglers?

I believe HC is running buses for students to Polar Park.

Stop worrying about parking.... There's plenty of places and park entrances.... Enjoy the Canal District.... It's more than likely going to be a sellout and a great event for HC and the city....
It will not be a night for complaining.

"not a night for complaining?" You forget...we have some here who can (and do) complain about almost everything. It is a task that some show they have mastered.

Polar Park will have a Red Sox watch party for Friday night's playoff game. Free admission but they will ring the register at the concession and swag stands. You have to tip your cap to WooSox management. That's a great way for a family to go out to the ballpark and control the amount of money they spend. The Fox pre-game show will have excerpts from Worcester.

Hearing 3 levels of parking garage across street will be open next week. About 250 spots. Plus another couple hundred spots out front for tailgating.

Received an email earlier this evening that said, in part:
“ PARKING AND TAILGATING There are over 4,000 parking spots available near Polar Park ranging in price. The College will not be sponsoring or organizing tailgating. The WooSox will communicate with ticket holders on Monday, October 18 about parking and limited tailgating”

The 4,000 parking spaces can be deceiving. Worcester is the second largest city in New England and hopping these days, so those spots aren't all waiting for game attendees and this crowd may exceed a baseball full house due to temporary stands (any word on that?).
The 5pm Saturday start should make parking easier, however.

Very interesting picture as this appears to be almost the exact view from where my seats are supposed to be.

"Here's the deal" on Covid Protocols as I had looked myself and couldn't find anything so when it doubt call.
1. There are no checks on vaccinations 2. Masks are NOT required to be worn EXCEPT for any indoor parts of the stadium (i.e. bathrooms, any indoor eating restaurants, DCU Club, team store)

It's not a campus event; so I guess HC's rules don't apply, only the City of Worcester's, whatever those might or might not be for an outdoor venue.
Sooner or later, there will be some outdoor game or concert that will fulfill Fauci's Superspreader prediction, I guess this one has as good a chance as any.

. . . . . and that's EXACTLY what the young man I spoke to said, almost apologetically, that their protocols are "looser" than at Fitton. I wouldn't think they would deviate from their own stadium/city/state standards as if HC wants to play a game there, you take the whole enchilada. For anyone else who happens to have gotten the "VIP" (?) tickets, he also said we don't have to go inside the DCU Club to get our food, we can just "use the phone, call and they'll bring it out to you." It starting to sound like it's almost worth the cost!
