This game will be sold out. The away team will bring some fans and parents. HC will bring some students, HC fans will go, Worcester people will be there to say they saw a football game there. Any kind of promotion of this game which will attract even more fans. 9,000 capacity? ACTP how many tickets do you consider a sell out? I will bet you this is sold out. Yeah- they'll be reminiscing about a 1AA match-up in a minor league yard decades after just like those who were there for Colts- 'jints at the Stadium... Funny you mention that game. This 12 year old was there. Probably will not be at Polar Park

Is it possible that the Woo Sox are footing the bill (or a substantial portion thereof) in order to promote the venue - and maybe to retain concession revenues? Maybe this is true, but I guarantee they like the idea of an extra night of revenue with thousands of people buying $6/$7/$8/whatever$ beers.

Totally agree, and I am really looking forward to this game.

Funny you mention that game. This 12 year old was there. Probably will not be at Polar Park me too... I was 13 I feel like I was, with all the times I've watched it on YouTube. However, not possible since I was minus 1 at the time. Will probably go, but still looking forward to the day when one of you rich alums ponies up the money for major renovation to Fitton (featuring a new student pavilion after tearing down those mostly unused endzone bleachers).

Just checked with my money manager. Based on my teacher’s pension, cannot do it right now

Sick in bed and didn't watch. I really didn't know what was going on anyway. Just a little bit. First NFL title game I watched was the next year, so I got to see the Jints only lose 5 title games in a row, not 6.

We were kind of counting on you, NAD, as we've heard your mattress and pillow are stuffed with Grover Clevelands just itching for a new home. Some of the biggest donors to various colleges and universities are those who for one reason or another did not attend that school. More seriously, everything I've heard and seen for the last year or two has been to focus on making HC more affordable to current and future students. I, for one, am surprised to see the new Fitton scoreboard so someone(s) must have made a dedicated donation as the powers that be haven't put that as a high priority.

Suspect this was an opportunity to have a much more simply executed night game, plus the various novelty aspects. I think the trade off between sight lines and attendance will make it worthwhile. We should be playing BC at Fenway. Period. Before Fenway is no more. Sight lines be damned. There’s a real history there and it should be promoted. I don't think BC would play us at a neutral field. If the Eagles play at Fenway it will be against Army, Notre Dame or maybe a Big Ten school. But I a game against UMASS, UNH, Brown, Harvard or Dartmouth at Fenway could be a possibility for us. The allure of playing at Polar Park is to have an "event" that is a change of pace from the typical 1pm Saturday affair at Fitton. I wouldn't want to see us waste this game on an opponent that might draw 10K+ at Fitton. The Colgate game makes the most sense. I think especially after the pandemic, people will be looking forward to a cool event like this. Another minor-league park idea that would be a lot of fun -- Holy Cross-Maine four-game series -- one each in Orono and at Fitton + 2 games at the SeaDogs stadium in downtown Portland.

Lewisburg is a little longer, about 60 miles more...

Larry was my lawyer back in the mid-70s when he was on the fast track with Williams, Connolly, and Califano- not a bad lawyer, but his move to baseball was the right move

See the design Toland just posted I like it. From home plate to left field! Good view of the video board. I can't wait. Should be an easy HC win. We crushed them in 2019.
Gate will bring some fans as well.
Plus both teams have their own sideline. Excited to see the tickets when they go on sale.
ACTP still think this game won't be sold out?

HC fans will be close to the action if you're seated behind our bench - Colgate fans look to be miles away from the field - not much you can do about that
