AHA Athletic Directors unanimously voted to reinstate RMU into the AHA for the 2023-24 season. Next step is a vote by the President’s of each school in the AHA.
Utica University is moving up to Division 2 Athletics and has applied for membership to the AHA as there is no Division 2 NCAA hockey tournament. Their Division 3 Hockey team finished the 2021-22 season ranked at #4. The city of Utica hosted the AHA tournament (semi and finals) this season. They want to join the league for the 2023-24 season.
Stonehill, another Division 2 school, is also exploring a move to Division 1 hockey, but they would play as an independent.

Air Force being in the league makes the logical solution; splitting the teams up into East and West divisions; a problem.
AFA is far, far away from everyone. The other 10 teams, including RMU, split up very easily.

Stonehill finished last in the seven team NE-10 conference at 7-19-2 .286. Holy Cross men had a .365 winning percentage. Maybe we can fatten up on Stonehill for a few years. No women's hockey in the NE-10.
