Apparently Columbia is crazier than North Korea: www.insider.com/north-korea-defector-says-columbia-university-reminded-her-kim-regime-2021-6That's the lighter note. A bit scary to read the progression of how we arrived at this point. No matter where you are on any evolving political spectrum, the basic value in arriving on a college campus in order to be intellectually challenged vs. intellectually repressed / manipulated appears to be at odds with current administrations. I recommend a look into the work being done by Heterodox: heterodoxacademy.org/Does Holy Cross publish any data on viewpoint diversity? I think older measure on who you voted for was somewhat sufficient, but without being dinged for politics, I think there are many folks who consider themselves conservative yet haven't ticked the "R" box in a long, long time. Secondly, does Holy Cross care about viewpoint diversity? Are chairs of departments looking to hire econ professors from the camps of both Smith and Engels? Would the Sociology / Anthropology department bring in a professor who doesn't believe in open borders? I just hope our college on the hill hasn't gone the way of...North Korea?

If she really believes that Columbia is like North Korea, she either
1. Doesn't remember North Korea very well 2. Is a social media star looking for clicks 3. Is a moron.
This is just an attempt by the poster to talk about the politics of higher education by just mentioning Holy Cross.
