I just heard of a bettor who played a $25 16 game win parlay on the money line and would collect $726,000 if the Lions win outright tonight. I sure hope he was smart enough to hedge with a bet on the Packers and still collect nicely Kalif is trying to help the guy. A decent punt return and now it will be time for the Lions to air it out.

So, watched the entire game vs. Packers but didn't see the first game the Lions played. Here are Kalif's stats through 2 games: As noted previously, he had one rush for 9 yards. Receiving: 5 receptions (targeted 6 times), for 68 yards (13.6 yards avg.). Longest reception was 25 yds. 0 fumbles. No kickoff returns. 1 punt return for 10 yards and 1 fair catch. From the GB game and stats, Goff's primary target is the TE Hockerson and #2 is RB Swift. FWIW, Kalif's avg yds. per catch is best on the team. It's like taking a fine Swiss watch and putting it under the short leg of a table to level it. Throw Kalif the ball!

Tyrell Williams was placed on IR so he will miss at least the next three games, thus creating additional opportunities for Kalif and the rest of the WRs. Kalif is questionable again this week with the same “thigh” injury he suffered in practice a week ago. He has been a limited participant in practice this week.

That injury could have been a reason he was targeted so little on Sunday night.

Now has 4 catches for 27 yards--quite a change from his usual 15+ yards per reception-obviously using him differently

For me, the important thing is he is a paid NFL player; starting; and actually being used; with no serious injuries. I suspect as he gains invaluable experience (beyond what he already has), he will become more and more valuable. Hopefully, he'll get synced up even more with his QB. I want to express my appreciation, especially to 92, for these reports as I don't get one of those "all-NFL" channels and don't troll the internet generally speaking.

On the 4 targets he didn’t catch, two were thrown out of his reach, one a short pass in the right flat and the other a long pass down the left sideline. He had his hands on the other two and got popped just as he was trying to secure the catch. Each of those might be characterized as a “drop” technically but, in my view, they were both pass breakups. Could have secured the catches but not “unforced drops”. Also, for the second time in three games, made a clutch catch in the red zone in the last two minutes.
Lions’ staff must have been reading Crossports and decided to get the ball to him much more than in the first two games.

As mentioned above, Kalif had 10 targets yesterday. No other Lions WR had more than 1.

Gained 14 yds on a wide receiver screen. O using him more often now. Announcers highlighting his speed and from football factory HC.
