With the season right around the corner, I thought I would throw out a trivia question involving the seniors. Now, it's not a raise a banner level accomplishment, but this year, Malachi, Ant, RChamp and MH have a chance to do something no other 4 year class has done since HC has been in the Patriot League. So, that would mean any class starting with the Class of 1994. Can you name the potential accomplishment? To me, the answer was rather surprising. I may have mentioned this already to a few of you when we had a get together a couple of months ago, so if I did, be nice and do not respond.

Only class with four 500+ point scorers? Assumes MH scores a couple hundred this year.

I might add that some may choose to put an asterisk next to this (and no, it has nothing to do with Milan Brown).....

Lose more games year-over-year, yet make deeper post-season runs with each successive year?

Lose more games year-over-year, yet make deeper post-season runs with each successive year? That will come to an abrupt end this season

Not sure about yours, SoS, but it wasn't the answer I had.
Bob is the closest, although still not what I was thinking of. These guys currently are 8-4 in the postseason, with 6-2 being in the PL tournament. The 2003, 2004 and 2005 teams each won 9 postseason games; all were PL games for 2003 & 2004, while the 2005 class won 8 PL tourney games and 1 NIT game (ND!).
Will reveal my answer tonight if no one gets it.

Dave,
I count 8 post season games for classes of 2003 & 2004.
2 in 2001 (PL only had 7 teams and I think the top team got a bye that year) and the 3 each in 2002 & 2003.

Following on the CHC8485 train: Double digit post-season victories?
Alternatively, I was thinking it might be win consecutive PL tournament titles on road.

Every class since 2007-08 has experienced 60+ losses. ok, bad guess then, thanks Does offer an interesting tangent to wander, though. Freshman classes with fewest career losses in PL era - 2002/03 (39), 2004/05 (42), 2000/01 (43), 1990/91 (44)

Dave, I count 8 post season games for classes of 2003 & 2004. 2 in 2001 (PL only had 7 teams and I think the top team got a bye that year) and the 3 each in 2002 & 2003. Ah, that's right Bob, my bad. And for the answer to my question (and I hope I researched this one accurately): every 4 year class since the league started experienced at least 1 "one and done" in the PL tournament. The class of 1993 (Breslin, Powell, Mashburn, Walker, Farkas) never lost in the first round, but they were only in the PL for 3 years. If our seniors this year can get a W in their first tournament game (and I know we're aiming higher, hopefully!) then they will be the first class to do so 4 straight years. Losing (I think to Bucknell) in the first round of the PL tourney in 2004 (Jave Sr. year) gave the 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 classes their only first round loss.
