After not playing last week, anyone know Oliver's status for Yale and going forward?
Any others out due to injury?

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale University Bulldogs are set to return to athletic competition in the fall of 2021. Yale Athletics is proud to announce its first schedule for the 2021-22 athletic year with the release of its football slate. The reigning Ivy League Champion Elis kick off their season at the Yale Bowl on Saturday, September 18, at noon against Holy Cross.
"Team No. 148 is excited for the 2021 season. We will continue to focus on ourselves and improve every day individually, and collectively as a team, as we ready for preseason camp," said Tony Reno, Joel E. Smilow '54 Head Coach of Football.

Both teams will be prepared, will leave it on the field, and motivated to play.
Yale probably has a bit more depth and talent than Merrimack, but not sure if they will perform at that level given the lack of competition since 2019.
Regardless you just want to get better each week as you get ready for conference play.
We took a loss, disappointing for sure, but the goal is to win as many games as we can, take the Pl championship, and win games in the playoff. All of our goals remain in place!🏈✝️✝️

After not playing last week, anyone know Oliver's status for Yale and going forward? Any others out due to injury? Just going off what is public, Oliver apparently passed concussion protocols during the week but still did not dress against MC. I would assume he dresses this week against Yale but how many carries he gets will likely be determined by how he looks and feels this week in practice. The only other starter we were missing on Saturday was Safety Terrell Prince. This is why back-up safeties Burns and Argos got so many snaps. The commentators said Prince was a “late scratch” so not sure the extent of his injury. During the same commentary, they mentioned in addition to Prince, our secondary “was a bit banged up” coming into the game but didn’t elaborate on any other individual players. By watching the first half and then reading the drive chart of the 2nd, I think CB Devin Haskins tried to play but not at 100%. He came up limping in the 1st quarter which is why Terrence Spence also got so many snaps on Saturday. Again, I didn’t have time to watch the 2nd half but did anyone else come off injured?

Can't say. I did not see anyone who appeared injured - but I only saw about a quarter.

Westin Elliott was quite impressive. I also agree the rust Yale undoubtedly has will certainly be to our advantage. I'm picking HC.

Yale will prepare to stop run all week that’s not hard to understand. Coaching staff needs to adjust strategy to move ball down field. Throw ball 30-35 times to keep them off balance and improve 3rd down conversions we should be able to put 30 plus points on board and pull out a win. If we throw 20 times and run it 40-50 times we will see same result as Merrimack 14 -17 points and a closer game than it should be.

I know nothing about Yale this year but historically it's generally been ugly.
Chesney needs to show his motivational skills this week after the Merrimack disaster.

Last week HC ran all of 49 plays to 81 for the Warriors. The only way 49 is acceptable is if you have a bunch of long gainers resulting in short scoring drives. Even then, your defense usually gets worn out late in the game with that kind of discrepancy.

Any HC fans plan on traveling to the Bowl on Saturday? October 10, 1945 Yale fumbled 8 times on the day! George Herbert Walker Bush would have been in the stands. He was baseball captain at Yale, class of '48. Did he ever play against HC, and possibly ever at Fitton? Would he be the only President to play on either the Fitton diamond or gridiron?

We must have had Presidential candidates who played at Fitton. Somebody from New England must have written in Ted Williams on some ballot.😊

...and a few HC students may well have consumed " Billy Beer" on campus. Anyone else remember that brew (as long as relatives are getting involved here). I bought gas and beer at Billy Carter's gas station in Plains, Ga. a few weeks before Carter was inaugurated. Then drove right by Jimmy's house. I was driving from Florida to Tennessee and we decided to go through Plains. It was festive at the station and the whole tiny downtown.

I guess that is #41 third from the left in the middle row. I'm using his Presidential number, not his uniform number.
