In reviewing the game again, it was nice to hear the announcers referring to HC's "stable" of running backs and to our depth of talented wide receivers. Who can say what one more Chesney recruiting class (and any returning 5th year players) could mean in that regard.
Anyone get a "Run Forrest Run" sign yet for future games?

From The Analyst
Go West(in), Merrmimack
That Holy Cross has won on the road over UConn, Yale and now 20th-ranked Monmouth 45-15 helps punctuate Merrimack’s 3-1 start because earlier this month the Warriors posted a 35-21 triumph over Holy Cross for their first win over an FCS ranked team. Louisiana Tech grad transfer Westin Elliott has made all the difference with the Northeast Conference program while passing for 15 touchdowns, including six (three to tight end/H-back Pat Conroy) in Saturday’s 47-10 rout of Delaware State. He was 21 of 23, setting the school’s single-game record for completion percentage (91.3), finishing with 336 passing yards.

As others have previously posted, he is the best QB we have seen or likely will see the rest of the season. He is phenomenal and no question he made the difference in the game against the Crusaders and obviously in the other games as well with the possible exception of their loss to Maine but believe that was turnovers (unknown how many, if any, were interceptions).

With their stats, looks as if DeMorat and Greenhagen will win PL PoW The Rams’ freshman linebacker Conway may get RoW.
From today’s PL site notes
Holy Cross’s win over No. 19/20 Monmouth was the first win by a Patriot League team over a ranked opponent since Colgate defeated No. 6 James Madison in the second round of the 2018 NCAA FCS Playoffs

I should think Dobbs would again merit strong consideration with the 41 yard reception added to his sacks and tackles.

He went 21-23 for 336 yds and 6 TDs against Delaware St. We should have a vote after the Fordham game…Westin Elliot or Tim DeMorat? Even though MC can’t officially “win”, from what I’ve seen likely NEC champion comes out of this week after the Duquesne @ Merrimack game!

Re: Elliott of Merrimack-his numbers are sensational: 107 for 145 for an unreal 73.8% completion rate. He has thrown 5 interceptions but has 15 TD's as well. With 1278 yards passing he has averaged an outstanding 8.8 yards per passing attempt.
