Are you arguing for a QB change that goes to option 3 and build around him? Many of the other starters and back up pieces might be in place Or pick one of the two and develop them? I don't know anything about Penansky, but Siderman and Sluka were in the backfield together today for all of one play...a failed pass to Sluka out in the left flat. How about trying a game where Siderman is the anointed starting QB and Sluka starts as a running back? He and Oliver could make for a potent combination, thereby opening the field for Siderman's passing. Of course, we'll need receivers who can hold on to catchable balls to make that work!.

NO ONE CARES WE SUCK AND WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUCK!!!!!!!! Clearly, he is still drunk from the tailgate. Frustration after years and years of disappointment. Nothing changes and everyone seems to just accept being mediocre. It’s pathetic.

Look, we've won back to back PL championships in football. I know, that's not the SEC, Big Ten or ACC but even you knew that HC played in the PL when you first went to Holy Cross. Winning championships is not mediocre.
Now, if you want to complain about basketball, I'm with you there. But hopefully that will change. In any case, Holy Cross does not "suck."

Interesting to watch the team when the offense comes off-I picked it up last week and saw it again today but the QB on the field comes over to talk with Pesansky- could be because he is talking to the press box, but he appears?? To be giving them what he sees on the field-he might be farther along in his development but a bit behind the other two in understanding the HC offense and the speed of the college game Looking at Max Preps senior year results of all three qb’s to see how they finished. Siderman 2-9 record ranked 1088th country Sluka 6-4 senior year ranked 4600th country Pesansky 14-1 senior year ranked 60th country. To me looks like top two QB’s maybe struggling with game speed. Maybe doesn’t hurt to give Pesansky a shot and maybe why these guys keep asking him for advice. Who knows but something needs to change.

I don't blame cru12 too much...crowd was excited for a solid performance and the team laid an absolute egg for the 2nd straight home game this year. Great day with life-long friends but still a mickey-mouse organization....couldn't use my Freshmen Field parking pass ("We're full!") at 11:30. PA at the game was dreadful etc....we just aren't ready for prime-time on or off the field yet. At about 11:45, I drove up Linden Lane, stopped at the guard shack and told the officer that I had a pass for garage parking. He apologized, said that the garage was full, and suggested that I park behind Hogan. (I had just come from there, and knew it was jammed.) As he moved on to the next car, I proceeded to the garage where I found the top two levels barely half full. WTF??

I drove around and up College Hill to the main entrance only to he told by another Officer that the garage was full but try if you like... the next Officer at the Guard House also says that the garage is full and offers me one of several spots he saves on Linden Lane. I asked if I could try the garage since I have a paid pass. He said OK. The person at the garage scanned in my pass and as Ignutz stated above there was an abundance of parking spaces with an entire area EMPTY!!! A few other rants: 1.) Available food/concessions are pitiful! and none under the visitors side! 2.) No programs/roster sheets! 3.) Sound system that you can barely hear! 4.) A video board that needs someone that knows how to operate it. With several plays that were under review you would think that they could replay the play under review... instead you get the words "Under Review" being repeated over and over! Could go on with a few more but.... A message to Holy Cross "You are a D1 program, start acting like one"! Hire an AD who knows how to get it done!!! Despite having a "Fan Experience Committee" we seem to have made the fan experience worse... sure it's not your fault hc87!!!

Despite having a "Fan Experience Committee" we seem to have made the fan experience worse... sure it's not your fault hc87!!! Meanwhile, the AD who put all of this in place just took a massive step up to a Big East job. This weekend’s results: Football L vs Harvard (38-13) M Soccer L vs Navy (3-0) W Hockey L vs Northeastern (6-0) W Hockey L vs Northeastern (5-0) Field Hockey L vs Lehigh (5-0) Volleyball L vs Colgate (3-0) Volleyball L vs Army (3-0) 7 games, 7 blowout losses. Only scored a point/goal/etc. in 1 of the 7 games. Oh and we also paid that carpetbagger Blossom 4 weeks of pay for September after he was introduced as the Creighton AD. Will anyone in TPTB step up and actually make sure we hire a good AD this time around? Does anyone care? Two straight carpetbaggers who had a foot out the door from their opening press conference and did zip to actually help HC. We also need to start attaching buyout clauses to these AD contracts. E.g. 5-year contract, if you leave after 2 years, you owe us $500K, which can only be offset by some sliding scale of PL championships. Ensure that the next AD actually gives a damn about Holy Cross.

Personally, the biggest problem lil ole me sees is the QBs are FAR from grizzled veterans. Still a lot of football to be played.

Don't know how much this is the result of staffing shortages and/or supply chain shortages with respect to provisions. 2.) Inexcusable. 3.) Inexcusable. This is the second home game with this problem. Sound system should be tested before each game. 4.) Some of this may be a 'teething' / training problem. The only 'dry run' before football was commencement, which is a static event. Some of the above issues are not unique to Fitton Field. See BC's advisory for the game against Missouri. I included the vaccination policy which, in several respects, is stricter than HC's policy.

Re: reviews. Any indication there is a camera on the other side of the field? No replay at any point, during or after the review; ever showed that angle.
If that's the case and the coaches know it, play was not worth reviewing. No way to see what the situation was with the ball when #80 turned towards the vistitors' sideline. Reviews at our level have to be considered carefully as the cameras are limited and the skill of those running them (hello, Yale) perhaps even more limited.

I thought that the PL, about five years ago, required installation of additional cameras around the field, specifically for replay review. These cameras are not part of the broadcast feed, and are viewed by a PL replay official in the booth. At the game yesterday, the officials on the field communicated with the replay official, but did not view a screen with the replays.

On a more serious note, I don't think I have ever seen more Crusader QB passes tipped. A number of them came darn close to being intercepted (beyond the ones that were).
Might just be me but I'm pretty sure Siderman (and no pun intended) threw at least a couple of passes sidearm. I didn't look at the Harvard D-linemen's height and don't recall them being exceptionally tall but they got their hands on quite a number of our passes.
They seemed to have us extremely well scouted and were ready for almost everything we gave them with the exception of the 70+ yard scamper and the onside kick. I had a suspicion that was coming simply because we didn't do our usual onside kick juke (that drives me crazy).

The announcers (Spectrum) were quite good, IMO. They said Siderman attempted a sidearm pass to get the ball past the outstretched arms of a Harvard lineman. They also opined that Siderman was high on some of his throws, needing to loft the ball above the outstretched arms.
IMO, HC is not spreading the field with respect to passes, leading to predictable passing lanes.

Clearly a coaching issue going on here. Hope they figure it out. Put up 45 against Monmouth then 13 against Harvard? Tough to make sense of it. Why is it when a better team comes in and wins it's always coaching? What could the staff had done differently yesterday? Harvard was tough to judge with their Hostess cupcake early schedule. Now we know.....they're just as good as they always are.
