sader70...you have a rich sense of humor. When I was at HC, a few NROTC classmates and I sold programs before and during the game and made a few dollars. It was fun talking to the attendees in the bleachers. Lots of fun back then.

It was fun talking to the attendees in the bleachers. Lots of fun back then. In the mid- to late-70s, the programs were $1.00. Those selling them got to keep 10 cents from each sale. I think I stopped selling after about three weeks - sell fifty programs for $5.00?!? I’m all set.

I thought the video board was way better for game 2 with more replays of almost every play. No college football game I have been at has showed a play under review. There is only 1 Speaker. Also PA guy show some emotion. Game programs upsets me.

Has anyone tested the Holy Cross Guest WiFi in the Stadium?

The following are for Baseball in the NCAA Appendix B Rules for Scoreboards, Video and Audio baseballrulesacademy.com/official-rule/ncaa/ncaa-appendix-b/I have not found the Appendix Rules for Football, but the following are the stated rules for Baseball: A. Scoreboards and video. 1. Scoreboards (and monitors) must not be used to “show up” an umpire or visiting team members, incite the crowd, or distract a player. The following situations may not be shown: a. No replay may be shown during a dispute with an umpire. One could surmise that rules found under this regulation would apply to all NCAA sanctioned athletic competitions

At about 11:45, I drove up Linden Lane, stopped at the guard shack and told the officer that I had a pass for garage parking. He apologized, said that the garage was full, and suggested that I park behind Hogan. (I had just come from there, and knew it was jammed.) As he moved on to the next car, I proceeded to the garage where I found the top two levels barely half full. WTF?? At 12:45 I approached the gate on Mckeon Rd and the Officer said that the lot was full. I said I have a garage parking pass and he said that lot is full also. I drove around and up College Hill to the main entrance only to he told by another Officer that the garage was full but try if you like... the next Officer at the Guard House also says that the garage is full and offers me one of several spots he saves on Linden Lane. I asked if I could try the garage since I have a paid pass. He said OK. The person at the garage scanned in my pass and as Ignutz stated above there was an abundance of parking spaces with an entire area EMPTY!!! A few other rants: 1.) Available food/concessions are pitiful! and none under the visitors side! 2.) No programs/roster sheets! 3.) Sound system that you can barely hear! 4.) A video board that needs someone that knows how to operate it. With several plays that were under review you would think that they could replay the play under review... instead you get the words "Under Review" being repeated over and over! Could go on with a few more but.... A message to Holy Cross "You are a D1 program, start acting like one"! Hire an AD who knows how to get it done!!! Despite having a "Fan Experience Committee" we seem to have made the fan experience worse... sure it's not your fault hc87!!! I received an E-mail with a survey about the fan experience for the Harvard game. It links to the website, so it must be there if you didn't get the E-mail. It might be worthwhile to take the survey and share your thoughts. I didn't try to buck the rules and leave at halftime so I walked around the stadium. There was one concession booth open on the visitors side, but it was for alcohol and water only The traditional stands on the home side were alcohol/water only. Lines didn't look crazy. There were food vendors on the road between the stadium and the garage. I don't know if it was sealed at the ends or of someone could sneak in those open gates after half time

I'm not aware of how things stand currently, but, for a long time, one could enter HC football and basketball at halftime w/o a ticket.

There is a new football policy this year that says you cannot leave at half time and return for the second half. Unless this is just a sham policy, I would expect there would be someone preventing people from just walking in. I did not test the policy enough to see if someone would challenge someone coming in

Here's the link to the surveys that Tom referenced above for those who did not get the email linking them but who want to give feedback. For some reason, these are 3 separate surveys each on a box to the left: goholycross.com/sports/2021/9/9/2021-fb-surveys.aspx

Observations from afar:
- We punted a LOT - We never beat Harvard - If you have two QBs, you have none QBs.

Hearing that sophomore CB Terrance Spence (#21) broke his fibula and is likely out for the rest of this year. A tough blow to our depth at CB. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery.

he played in 5 games so he is not eligible for an injury related extra year (no more than 4 games is the rule) I saw the play and it was on an HC kickoff - those are very dangerous collisions with both teams going full speed at each other - some say the kickoff could be eliminated from the game and it would not lose appeal - why not start the game at the 25 yard line? (so many kicks go through the end zone anyway)

Sorry to hear that. Might he have a 5th year in his future? He has a fifth year as a result of COVID so he has 3 more years of eligibility after this season.

Observations from afar: - We punted a LOT - We never beat Harvard - If you have two QBs, you have none QBs. Glass half full. Next year will be our chance to beat the Johnnies in Cambridge for yhe first time since 2000 I think. We actually overperformed against Harvard at home during the Gilmore era. Of course some of that could be attribtued to the fact that it waa typically Game 1 for Harvard and Game 3 for Holy Cross.

Found it - In the NCAA Instant Replay Coaches Manual: During game stoppage for a review, the stadium video system may NOT show any replays of the
play in question. Once the Referee announces the outcome, ONE replay of the play may be shown
at normal speed.

Wow, that’s pretty specific. Now for those at either or both of our home games, was there any post-decision replays? I can’t remember any.

I was in attendance, While I took issue with a few calls (or non-calls) during the day, I don't recall thinking that there was anything wrong with the Harvard FG.

I thought it missed but have long realized my perspective on FGs isn't very good where I sit and my son watching the stream said it was clearly good.
