In 1958-59 we ended the season with wins over PC and BC. No tourney with a 14-11 record. Between Heinsohn and Jack the Shot years.

In 1959-60 we beat Yale to open the season and then lost to Wake Forest, so that was a three game multi-season win streak.

Well, objectively, we were a miserable 28-36 in the two years before Brett Nelson took the reins. Now in BN's first two years we have posted a mind boggling 8-40 record. You don't see how someone might question whether we are "in a better place" today? As a numbers guy, I'm surprised you would try to skate by with such a misleading data point, as the 8-40 "two year" record is weighed greatly towards the disastrous Year 1 (67%). The unbalanced COVID schedule in Year 2 also resulted in HC playing 10 of 16 games against the clear cut preseason #1 & #2 teams in the pL. That's 6 more games against those teams in a typical PL year, accounting for 63% of our PL scheduled versus the typical 22% (4 of 18). Disastrous Year 1 (32) + unbalanced games in Year 2 (6) = 79% of the sample size that you tried to represent as "two years" (38/48). In HCBN Year 2, we were 5-11 (.313), slightly lagging behind the 28-36 (.378) mark from the prior two years. Those prior two years before Nelson arrived culminated with losing our three best players. I'll bet a donation to the CAF that the winning percentage over the next two years is better than .378...

What's next, a bet that the coach can make 3 free throws in 10 attempts? I did not misrepresent anything. I simply stated the record over the two seasons where BN has been the coach. I hope we win every game this season and prove you right.

You don't see how someone might question whether we are "in a better place" today? You've gone beyond doubling down, quadrupling down, octupling down, and sexdecupling down on your bet on Brett Nelson. I hope you are right. Coach Nelson must be buoyed by your steadfast faith in him. This has nothing to do with evaluating coaches, but I have never seen or heard the word "sexdecupling" used in a sentence before. Although I never used the phrase, I've probably had a sexdecuple bogey before

If we hit 14-18 Ws this year and 20 plus the following season I will match the contribution of BBC or 5k whichever is better for the program, so BBC pm with your $number if it happens

And thanks to all you generous contributors.
