I was very confident this board would be full of discussion about last night's game. Rarely, but on occasion, you guys really surprise me.
Ho-hum?

It was ovah-hyped (like nearly everything today)....turned into a great game. I think Jones ovahplayed TB12 a bit but the GOAT was able to escape Foxborough with a W.

Well, it WAS a great game. I watched it here from the West Coast, and appreciated my time zone. Maybe most of you East Coasters were asleep?

I made it until the ridiculous 2 minute warning. In the first half.

Since I kicked this off and not especially a Pats fan, I kind of like Brady. I detest Belichick from my days in Ohio. (He gets no credit from me even if his daughter coaches at HC). They'd hang him if they got half a chance in Cleveland though I became more of a Bengals fan since Kozerski was there at the time. I do try to maintain geographic loyalties but drew a solid line at "The" OSU. Them and Syracuse.
I did doze off and on but had the game on the entire time. It was really a good game in the pouring rain. Had to explain to a very close relative how Tampa did get a TD though Brady didn't get "credit" for it (i.e. not a pass and no credit for a handoff). I was impressed with the Pats' Jones.

Up until this January he was the coach of the last Browns team to win a playoff game. His .450 winning percentage isn't good, but other than the first half of Kosar's career, pretty standard for Cleveland. Did they love Schottenheimer that much that whoever replaced him would be subject to hanging?

NBC hyped this up like a major event. In reality? A non-conference game between the defending world champs, with a chance to gain a game in the standings against a mediocre AFC East team in pretty awful passing conditions with the heavy rain. As an ardent NFL fan, I could appreciate the background, but it wasn't worth fanfare and parades like a primus pilus returning from a conquering war. I wasn't looking forward to it all as a prime time match-up.

A couple of hours earlier (and a few drop dryer) and that could've been a most exciting match-up!

This helped refresh my memory:
The folks in Cleveland loved Bernie Kosar. And, you don't start 3-1 and then go 2-10 the rest of the year and have them start a fan club for you. And, you just have to love his winning personality, right?
Art Modell would likely have been hanged first (he's dead by now anyway, right?). But the Browns moving to Baltimore is a whole other story.

The Browns moving to Baltimore is as big a disgrace as the Colts moving to Indianapolis--two storied franchises deserting loyal fanbases when lured away by the $$$.

They made the playoffs with Vinny T; 11-5; beat the Pats in the opening round. 7-9 the year Kosar got sh*tcanned. The 5-11 year perhaps had a lot to do with BB (or blame the move, a lot of people do) but not with any qb controversy.

Not saying he was fired due to Kosar, that fans loved Kosar and blamed Bill for the change. The move to Baltimore was not on Bill either.
My only point is people in Cleveland hate Belichick even before he was halving such success with Pats.

My Bucs survived. Tough road win in the rain.
Bucs need to get some help on defense with the injuries piling up.

Stayed awake throughout. It was a great game. Pats have some terrific talent. Mac Jones is the real deal. Most assuredly more first rate talent is coming on board in the coming years. They are headed right back to the top & will contend for championships for many years. Hats off to Kraft, Belichick and the entire organization. They know how to build and win. (Unlike, a certain sickening gang green team in the Garden State.)
