this game has been largely ignored here. let's not give up on our troops and see if they can surprise the raiders. anyone know if wade has practiced this week ? did we incur any more injuries last week, and are any players returning from injury ?
this cold weather which included some snow in hamilton has passed and tmro looks pretty good weatherwise - temps in the mid 50's with a chance of showers. no problem with their artificial turf
'gate was off last week (they only play 10 games this season) and qb melville is a handful so our defense better be ready to play like they did against harvard.

Nice job there Haze. Colgate is always a big game for both schools and there have been some memorable match-ups. I will be following online streaming (with an OK from my wife who is in rehab after a knee replacement). That is true love.

My contribution to the team effort is not making the trip to Hamilton as I have seen nothing but catastrophic results every time I have gone there in person going back to the late 60's and the last few games when we had a chance at PL championships but couldn't hold a lead and watched the Raiders running game grind the clock down. I will, however, watch on the internet. Go Cross!!

Heard team left HC for upstate NY at 5 - 5:30pm last night. If true that's a brutal, unfair travel schedule for the players. You want D1 sports...act like it.

Unfair because they couldn't enjoy the foliage on the way

Assuming they might have opted to have a walk-through at home in the afternoon, left for Colgate, had a snack on arrival in Hamilton and lights out at 10. Alternative would have been to leave yesterday AM, miss class, and then have to find a place to have a walk-through in Hamilton. Obviously leaving Thursday night or flying would have been nice but not sure it would be worth it. But agree with you about acting D1, for sure.

Where would they fly into ? The Hamilton International airport ?

Yeah that was my point. Bus is really all you can do, leaving Thursday and being on the road for an extra night isn't exactly any better than the current arrangement. As I recall the only two night trip that makes sense among the PL would be Georgetown.

If MapQuest is correct, it is 232 miles from HC to Hamilton. Do board members who have out of town business trips actually fly that short a distance instead of driving? With the extraordinary hassles of getting to the airport, parking, then enduring the current TSA procedures , etc, etc, anything under 300 miles is a definite drive in my experience.

In past years, the team would drive to Utica, NY on Friday morning, have their walk-through at Utica College, stay overnight in that area, and then make the half hour drive to Colgate on Saturday morning.

They should have left at 8:30 AM. Leaving @ 5:30 PM makes no sense. It's time we start acting like Div 1.

Not so different then going to class/walkthru then drive up there in the evening as noted above

Hancock International in Syracuse and bus from there. Can anyone recall what the Syracuse Orangemen did for travel to Fitton? I am guessing even as national contenders they took a bus rather than fly Hancock to Worcester.

For those with a Lifestream app on their Smart TV you can watch the HC/Colgate game on your big screen TV.
