Is Wade eligible for a redshirt ? According to HC stats: PP is eligible and played 4 games. Wade also played in 4 games, so perhaps he is eligible. Wade is not eligible for a medical hardship waiver because he played in the second half of the season.

When I say Fordham believes they own NYC I mean their fball team, not necessarily their fans, believes they own NYC relative to PL teams. Lombardi, Seven Blocks of Granite, the Mara family and all that. Does that help? Or do you want to turn this into a thread within a thread.

No need to continue this now that you have clarified that you meant the football team and not the Ram fans or the administration. I still have my doubts but defer to your greater expertise.

Pretty sure one part of the rule is you can't have played in the second half of your team's season and still get a medical hardship waiver. Correct. The only exception I've ever heard of was Casey Gough. He was cleared for a fifth year (2007) despite having appeared ONCE after the halfway point of the season in 2003. As a frosh, he got hurt in one of the first two games and missed the rest of the season with one notable exception. Coach Allen sent him in to punt one time later in the season against Dartmouth. This one punt almost cost Casey a full season of play but he was granted a waiver because it was determined that he was wrongfully put into that one game and that he was still fully injured when the coaches did so.

Hoops- I was much more interested in basketball. My recollection is that FU didn't have fball in 65-70, but I could be wrong.

Fordham, that football juggernaut gave up football entirely from 1954 to 1964 and in '64 resumed club football until 1969. In 1988 they were still playing St. John's, Catholic, Iona. Pace and Dickenson and not until 1989 did they play "up" to the PL and Ivy schedule but still some hangers-on weak D3 type teams. They've come a long way.
I believe Villanova had a similar hiatus in football.
So, for those who bemoan how low HC football is, it can come back.

Some of my former athletes played on those FU club teams. They were pretty good at that level.

Fordham Club football record:
'64 - 1-1-0 '65 - 4-1-0 '66 - 1-5-0 '67 - 5-3-0 '68 - 7-1-0 '69 - 5-2-1
So, Rob, outside of '66, they were excellent.
In 1970, they went D-3.

FU is blended into the culture of NYC the way BC is blended into the culture of Boston. They're both in very large cities. In that regard there's no comparison with HC.

LOL!!! Boston is a "very large city?" Compared to NYC and especially the metro area, Boston is small potatoes and you know that better than most, Sarasota. You've fallen for all that Bah-stahn propaganda. (Did I write that correctly, 87?)

sader1970- Compared to Worcester, Boston is a very large city. Your observation is completely off the mark. I know you're smarter than to have mistaken that.

And you are a lot smarter to know that population-wise that Boston is closer to Worcester than it is to NYC. I'll grant you "culturally," Boston is closer to NYC than Worcester. Perhaps that's what you meant?
2016 populations:
NYC: 8,550,405 Boston: 667,137 Worcester: 183,016 (2014)
Your comparison was not Boston to Worcester, it was Boston to NYC.

Must have been a lot of Crusader fans then as the video was shot from the visitor side facing the home side and that looked to be about 35-40% full on the home side. I don't think Andy Kerr, if that's what it is still called, is that large. But I think we have pretty good consensus on this board that all attendance numbers in college games is inflated.

Just by watching the game online (with camera facing home side), I would have guessed 4500 - 5000.

There was one shot of the visitors' side...unless they were sitting on the home side we either have a team of orphans or even the players' families don't go to road games. Very few people.
Fitton broadcasts would look better if HC changed camera locations, that's for sure.

sader1970- You still don't get it. My comparison was either NYC or Boston....to....Worcester. Too bad you didn't take my Logic course.

Yes, it is just a crying shame. Not sure how I made it this far in life without having done so. I am sure your course has been a huge benefit for those lucky people who have taken your logic course.
