Back to the issue at hand on this thread, is Roman Catholicism (as it is perceived by many in the USA today) hurting Holy Cross badly and can anything be done about it???
It doesn't seem to be an issue with ND, GTown, BC and Villanova currently....are they seen as "less Catholic" or more secular?
Not trying to be snarky here...just curious how we may/can balance being a Catholic institution and a much sought after school in the 21st C?

Apparently, not an issue for those who apply. I read the many posts in the previous thread on this. ND and Villanova are not perceived as "less Catholic" but Georgetown is clearly more secular. However all of those institutions have much greater diversity than had previously been the case for a long time. BTW, there are still Catholics in the 21st century and their kids still go to college.

Unless there is a dedicated bequest specifically for a redesigned hockey rink, the Easy Street Dorms and a new town house complex along with the upgrade to Smith Stadium and the softball complex should be the next projects to break ground on Mt. St. James
Updated housing, dining options and library facilities should be the top priority for the next five years. Maybe Doug Baker can come up with funding separately for the rink, while the next campaign focus will be on student residential quality.
