Pretty pedestrian week as nearly half of our pickahs had perfect weeks. Our 11 are back in action this weekend against our Jesuit cousins from DC. Only 4 games again this weekend, one of which is Friday night up in Ithaca. Standings are starting to get bunched up with a 4-way tie for 1st and many right behind.
Week 7:
Colgate @ Cornell (Friday) Lafayette @ Harvard Bucknell @ Fordham GTown @ Holy Cross
Standings:

Of the 4 leaders, 3 have picked:
Cornell Harvard Fordham Holy Cross
The 4th guy picked Colgate over Cornell. That means there will likely be a 3-way tie for first or one guy sitting alone. At this point, the only way to make up ground is to pick some presumed underdogs. Picking what the leaders have gets you stasis. Not going to fall behind but never catch up.

The number of games does shrink as the season progresses into league play but I think there will be a decent amount of 50/50 games moving forward.
It does kind of stink if you get buried earlier......maybe next year combine the PL and Ancient VIII (or CAA) games???

Reason number 100 to pursue moving up to the CAA as a football member: Better pick’em.

League games in the PL will in general be tougher to predict than the non-con schedule, especially given the higher degree of difficulty many of the teams in the Patriot League have chosen to play. We needn't worry. There will be some drama as we head to the finish line.

Not if Colgate upsets Cornell. Definitely possible. This game always seems to be close if my recollection serves me right. It's a Friday night in Ithaca though so I think the home crowd will be a factor in this one. In addition, Cornell is winless but has played tough against both Harvard and Yale. I think the Big Red will leave it all out on the field and get the win.
