Wang transferring to Boston College. Will be interesting to see how much time he gets at BC.... What? He’ll be the three hitter and their best hitter.

Wang seems like he'd slide in rather easily to BC's program as a DH / platoon player. Not to pat myself on the back, but to pat myself on the back...

Looks like nobody was really interested in him out of high school. He lost most of his freshman season to Covid. As a sophomore, he had four appearances for 23 innings. Last summer, he took off with the Bravehearts and this year he had 10 starts for 70 innings pitched, was 6-2 with 5 complete games, struck out 16.25 hitters per 9 innings. Oh, and very importantly, he is a 6'6" 249 pound lefty. Good for him. I'm not sure I would complain about the HC coach not finding him as it doesn't look like he generated a lot of interest from anyone.

A 6'6 kid from Westboro High who was a conference all-star in high school as a junior should be on the HC radar. Probably got more money from Assumption anyways and worked out pretty well for him. I guess those D-2 schools aren't too shabby. ;-)

I hope Sam does really well at Belmont. Not easy to share a story like this.
For what it's worth, Sam started 78 of 80 games he played in at HC. During the past two seasons, HC played a total of 84 games. So, he started all but six games over the past two seasons.

Holy Cross has been playing baseball since 1876. If they have taken a year off, I don't remember it.

Didn't HC maintain all of their intercollegiate teams WWII? Why would having baseball be "crazy?"

Throwback to a pretty cool box score to look back to... www.espn.com/college-baseball/game/_/gameId/371531113Notables: Adley Rutschman -> #1 pick 2019 draft Nick Madrigal -> #4 pick 2018 draft Brendan King/George Capen/Declan Cronin all with different baseball ties as the pitchers Jake Thompson for OSU in AAA with Sox at Worcester OHHHHH how far we have fallen since this day
