Massey raised HC 5 spots and now ranks us as #40. Colgate only dropped 1 place.
Massey makes HC a 21 point favorite (31-10) with a 95% chance for the win.
Lehigh made quite the upset attempt against Fordham with MANY trips into the red zone. Their offense looked like an entirely different team. Or...was it poor play by the Rams defense? Perhaps a bit of both.
Patriot League Ranks:
40 HOLY CROSS (5-2 / 2-0) 56 Fordham (5-3 / 3-0) 76 Lafayette (2-5 / 1-1) 96 Colgate (2-6 / 2-1) 103 Georgetown (2-4 / 1-2) 111 Bucknell (1-6 / 0-3) 117 Lehigh (0-7 / 0-2)

Coach Gilmore is snakebitten at the end of games, things that often are out of his control.
Case in point: Lehigh gets the ball back after Fordham goes ahead by 7 w/1:45 to go. They get a couple of first downs and it doesn't take them very long to get them. Then, a slant route across the middle goes for at least 30 yards, in or close to the red zone. The kid fumbles and Fordham recovers!
Apparently Lehigh decided to go w/a wide open passing attack and Fordham wasn't ready for it at all.

Think we'll see some of it in the next week or so? (I certainly hope HC has better coverage than the Rams showed.)

Fewer still as all PL games are on ESPN+ for a reasonable cost.

Let's be honest....HC should kick the crap out of Lehigh.
There are always various factors to consider but talent is the first, second and usually third factor...and HC has much, much more talent than Lehigh.

Talent, coaching, experience, and intangibles like luck, IMHO.
I also think we should have "kicked the crap" out of Merrimack. We didn't. We look past Lehigh at our peril. From what I've read, Fordham was lucky to have beaten them.

They certainly have a better record.
My larger point is that while talent is critical to a team's success, it is not as you said, first, second, third. For me, talent is akin to "potential." A more talented team can lose to a lesser talented team if they don't play to their potential; the coach makes some bad calls or judgement; or something as simple as a lucky bounce or a bad call by the refs.
I would assume that you would agree Fordham is more talented than Lehigh this year but only good fortune caused them to pull out a win. And Fordham, I think you would agree (maybe not) is more talented than Merrimack.

Is this game televised on ESPN+? The schedule does not indicate that it is on ESPN+. Nor, is there any indication that the FU game is on ESPN+.

That is often the case. It is on there. Browse, go down to "conferences" then to Patriot League and the game should be there.

If things run true to form against Lehigh, Matt Sluka should become the fourth Holy Cross quarterback to gain 500+ yards rushing in a single season
1961- Pat McCarthy 512 yards 1964- Jack Lentz 802 yards (Did he play RB at all? Mike Cunnion played QB in addition to Jack) 1966- Jack Lentz 685 yards (no record for Jack for 1965-injured?) 2014- Peter Pujals 705 yards
Matt has 459 yards so far and more games to play

Jack was injured in ‘65. He never played running back Mike Cunnion, (Jack’s roommate, who died in VietNam)started their soph season, 1964, but then Jack replaced him. Mike played little after that.

Jack's rushing numbers are remarkable. I don't think he was the starter until the 2nd or 3rd game of a 10 game season in '64. In our first year. '63. Mike roomed on Wheeler 3 with Dick Greise; Dick got a serious knee injury that season and dropped out then returned a year later graduated in '68. He centered the OL in the '66 BC game.

Jack Lentz was a remarkable qb. It was a joy to watch him play. The excitement in the stands was palpable. And, the storybook ending with a defeat of BC at Alumni was one for the ages. Lentz epitomized leadership on the football field. He was great! And HC has had other great leaders over center, too. We can only hope that Sluka, primarily a running QB or Siderman, a passer will be great, too. GOCROSSGO

At the invitation of a Lehigh grad client, I attended the 63-6 thriller at Goodman.
Remember counting 40-45 HC fans on the visitor grandstand
