I do wonder how many HC fans will travel to Lehigh. Any guesses? Why is the game at their place; it was there last year? The only game that I can see being two-years-in-a-row is Bucknell because it was a special game for the league title (and it turns out that it's in Worcester this year anyway).

Last year goes out the window...in that case we had only one home game (Fordham). I believe this season is sorted out to get things more in balance (home/away).

I do wonder how many HC fans will travel to Lehigh. Any guesses? We should have a following. Close to metro NY. Great stadium, easy parking.

Forecast for Saturday is around 60 degrees and rain. IMHO that would keep numbers down.

I was one of the 40 or 45 (I really think there were more than that, but after a possession or two, we were louder than the 12,000 or so Lehigh fans, that's for sure; I think it was 21-0 before Lehigh got a first down).
Didn't know they were building a new stadium; all I could think of was "Brooks saw this dump and STILL wanted us in this league?".
My first BC/HC game, as an 8th grader, was Dr. Anderson's last, a 10-8 loss that Lentz nearly pulled out. First time I ever heard the word "Sader" (not "Crusader"). No clue what they were talking about for quite a while.

At the invitation of a Lehigh grad client, I attended the 63-6 thriller at Goodman. Remember counting 40-45 HC fans on the visitor grandstand I agree with Tim, there were more than 45 HC fans in attendance at Lehigh in 1987. My father, my son and yours truly were at Lehigh to see the remarkable performance by Dr. Jeff Wiley in 1987. Prior to the start of the game, as I was walking along the sideline, I knew we were in for a special afternoon, as Wiley’s passes were literally humming with the tight spiral that was being thrown. Great afternoon for my only visit to Taylor Stadium before it was replaced by Goodman Stadium in 1988.

What awful uniforms. How could a school choose brown for its color?

Realistic summary off the last games for Lehigh and HC. This could be an exciting contest, unless HC gets rolling early (and often).

What awful uniforms. How could a school choose brown for its color? Wyoming -ok Cleveland Browns- ok (at least their traditional ones, some of the newer ones suck) Every one else- yuck. Especially the Padres.

I think he is saying Bucknell game is in Lewisburg two years in a row. Last year was a playoff, this year regular season. It is a reset after "let's just try to get a game" affair last year. We haven't been to Georgetown, Fordham, Lafayette or Colgate since 2018, but been to Lehigh 3 times. Not sure GTown wants us back after that 2018 game.

They gave us the same schedule for PL home and road as 2019
We will have to play 3 straight years at Bucknell.

If 2020 was "just schedule games to get them in", then 2021 should have been, league-wise, 2020 and then we go on from there.

We avoid two out of the three longest league road trips, Colgate and Georgetown this season, so that's something. It's not ideal that the closest league foe is in NYC, but I would rather have Fordham in the league than closer schools such as Bryant, Merrimack, Central CT or Sacred Heart. The OOC schedule is ideal for playing New England teams.

If 2020 was "just schedule games to get them in", then 2021 should have been, league-wise, 2020 and then we go on from there. Conferences discussed this very item across all sports. Some pushed 2020 to 2021, others skipped 2020 and moved right to 2021. Once again, leagues don't arbitrarily make decisions about these types of things - they're usually presented to campus admins - sometimes SWAs, sometimes ADs, sometimes others, sometimes a combination of all of the above, depending on governance structure of that particular league - and they set the direction. There's obviously nuances depending on what conference you're talking about, but in most cases a decision like this is being looked at and ultimately decided by ADs.

Honestly - if it rains I think that plays to HCs strengths. They are excellent against the run and run the ball well. I think this will help HC a ton.

Gilmore-coached teams always seemed to overperform in the rain.
That being said, the last time we played Lehigh in such conditions, Cozier ran for a million yards and we won 56-6 or something in 2018.
