From the HC website:
Is my memory wrong or did Holy Cross first year retention rate used to be in the mid to high 90%? Frankly, I thought I recall that our 4 year retention rate was pretty darn close to 95%.

I wonder if the pandemic had an effect on that ratio? I have same recollection that it was a bit higher

Holy Cross has noted in the Common Data Set that certain values were affected by the pandemic, and the move to remote learning, and students withdrawing, or taking a gap year, because they did not want to pay to be taught remotely.

I'm not sure if this is still stated on the website but there was an astrix next to that stat for all of last year saying this stat has negatively been impacted by covid.

This site shows both the HC retention rate and the graduation rate for each of the past 10 years: www.collegetuitioncompare.com/trends/college-of-the-holy-cross/graduation-rate/The retention rate, pre-covid, was normally 95%. The graduation rate, pre-covid was normally about 92%.

Ah, no, my hearing is poor but my eyesight is still good. As I posted initially, my source was the Holy Cross website. Here is the link (about 2/3's down the page): www.holycross.edu/bison 137 has a different link and it apparently shows that my mind/memory is still functioning at least minimally when he quotes:
