I’m a Fordham parent and I want to alert those thinking of going to the game to buy tickets before game day - I’m not saying that with any inside info other than the fact that they sold out the Lehigh game on Family weekend (with game day walkups) - It’s possible this game will sellout before Saturday (Lehigh attendance was announced as ‘6700’)

The wet forecast(30% chance) may keep the crowd down

Thanks haze for your thoughtful post. I wonder, hoops, what a wet day will do to the footing on Fordham's seemingly threadbare field turf?

I think this game well sell out unless rain forecast becomes more certain.
I got my tix last week. Am going with some rabid Fordham season ticket holders.
Another FYI- Fordham mandates proof of vaccination for anyone 12 and up. Anyone under 12 (INCLUDING CHILDREN UNDER 2!!!) must provide negative test within 72 hours.

Current weather forecast for the Bronx on weather channel on Saturday is temps in 62-49 degrees and 39% chance of rain. Obviously will be more accurate as we get closer to the date.
Those odds make a 3+/- hour one way trip in the rain, sitting in the rain and driving back in the rain too rich for my blood, especially if it means standing room only and an already paid for ESPN+ account.
Good luck saders!

Good luck saders! Don't blame you. I'm somewhat ashamed to say that I still have not been to a home football game in Worcester since 2018. I've been a hell of a road warrior since then (including going to the ONE game that allowed fans in 2020 in SD) but dearly miss Fitton nonetheless. The home slate just didn't mesh with my never-ending slate of bachelor parties and weddings this fall and I had a funeral to attend on the day of the Polar Park game. I got to enjoy the UCONN win in East Hartford and hope to see us clinch the conference next week in the Bronx -- will be tailgating early, hopefully watching a Crusader victory and then enjoying a delicious dinner on Arthur Avenue. Obviously, I hope to see you guys in the stands in a potential playoff game (or two).

Bought my general admission ticket yesterday online for $15 plus a $1 processing fee. Fordham is the only place in the PL where the parking charge is greater than the cost of a game ticket. Yes I know one can park for free on Southern Boulevard, but not sure how early one must arrive to snag a spot. Weather forecast seems to be getting better by the hour. Go Cross go!

The charge is not bad for NYC...and you are much more likely to find your car still there after the game.

Someone planning on taking a swim? Water temperature is 60 degrees. Invigorating! In one of my more inglorious moments, while sailing Tech dinghies at a regatta at MIT, and for some reason (maybe a storm) we had to bring the boats back to the dock quickly. So I went and stood on the bow, holding on to the mast. And the bow began to sink. I thought it would only sink so far, and I could still jump to the dock. My displacement calculations were in error, the bow sank and I sank with it, still holding on to the mast. The water temperature in the Charles River in mid-spring was probably less than 60 degrees. Bracing!

Little by very little, Phreek, we are finding out about your interesting life and career but consider just writing a biography that we can all buy and save time from the drip, drip, drip of your tidbits and extensive family tree.

Proposed title: "To the Moon Alice" One man's journey from a cold water flat to the science of Space Travel. Humble beginnings sell well.

Maybe we should start a thread in which every member of Crossports lists three interesting/unknown/embarassing things about themselves.
