Thanks, Ky All the numbers favor HC except the penalties. Hope we can avoid more than we have been.

We are getting fewer penalties on the kickoff at the start of the game.

Or better to start the game at noon so there aren’t as many eyes on it? Or move to Sunday afternoon.

Thanks, Ky All the numbers favor HC except the penalties. Hope we can avoid more than we have been. I don’t think we should count (more than) a few of yesterday’s yellow hankies. One Late Hit (Unsportsmanlike?) call against us, where our guy bumped a Bison late, but then the Bison player slapped our guy’s helmet, was redonkulous.

Connecticut is throwing another team at us.
We are the kings of Connecticut.
Wins over UConn and Yale.

These types of penalties have been a problem all season. If there were any one area where I'd say I miss Gilmore, its here. Gifting your opponent an entire football field over the course of a game -- not good.

It would be embarrassing if HC doesn't change games start time.
But does opponent need to agree to a move? Im sure UNH would love the opportunity to have more fans than us for a game at Hart.

I'd be shocked if moving a game time doesn't have to be mutual but I'd be equally shocked if UNH if asked, wouldn't do it. They tend to be pretty nice people up there (please, no Foley wisecracks) and think they'd be very understanding.

Plus their horde of fans will have easier parking later in the day and they can sleep in Saturday morning.

Also, I seem to recall HC agreeing to do the exact same thing in Durham some years ago when UNH was in the playoffs. Just going by memory and kind of a hard thing to verify

It's also 50/50 this time of year that HC thinks it's worth it to open up the baseball and freshman fields. If they're closed, it makes parking more of a challenge, basketball game or no basketball game.

If they're closed, it makes parking more of a challenge, basketball game or no basketball game. I got this yesterday so the current plan is to have all the fields open. Thanksgiving weekend, so all that student parking east of the Hogan lots should be available. I'm guessing freshman field and HoJo's will be open. Agree that baseball is 50-50, but it looks like right now they're leaning towards allowing it. Last home game there was a frost delay on the parking fields

Spoke with Ryan Schmidt HC ticketing guy when i ordered my tickets and he says they are looking at moving time of UNH BB game which he is personally hoping for since “I can’t be two places at once” but the two decision makers are Nelson and the UNH head coach.
He thinks the determining factor is what UNH travel plans are for after the game (i.e. going back to UNH, traveling elsewhere to next game, etc.)

Any mention yet whether the game will be televised? As far as I'm concerned Lou got to the heart of the matter. Will there be a TV feed accessible to all of us?

It appears from what I can see that all first round games are on ESPN+.
I did check and not on NESN or ESPN.

Thought it might be interesting to go through our early season 2-deep/personnel as we head into the postseason. Always interesting to reflect on how healthy a team is by the end of the season. Every team is banged up to some extent and how your early season reserves step up late in the season really matters. DEPTH IS CRUCIAL! Feel free to comment.
QB - both Healthy RB - Purdy sprained MCL (doubtful for Saturday) WR - Gilliam out for season TE - Morris ankle sprain v Fordham (status for Saturday unclear) OL - Pat McMutrie (lower body injury v Fordham (status unclear), Nick Olsofka (out for season), #2 RG Dalton Daddona (out), #2 OG Eric Schon (came out late in Bucknell game but not serious..likely to play)
DE - All 2 deep healthy DT - Noah Johnson (out for season), Jared Dyer (out for season), Dillion Springer (injured @ Bucknell and out). Modak and Cedeno will have to carry all the load. Fr. Damon Donalds looks to be next man LB - All healthy DB - Grant Holloman (status unclear but likely out…hope I’m wrong), Terrence Spence (out for season) Malik Scott out for 1st half per targeting in Bucknell game

Is Pesansky injured, or is he headed for the portal? He has been on the sidelines in recent games with the headphones, but has not taken the field.

The home game is presented as earned in this article but presented as purchased on Crossports. If the decision was based on merit like in the NFL playoffs, it was earned. But the NCAA can't finance it's operations on merit alone so purchased seems more accurate. Congratulations to HC athletics for getting it done.

I did see some changes to core special teams, with some players replacing injured players. For example, Purdy’s spots on special teams were replaced with S Joe Rivers. I also believe that CB Matt Duchemin is out with a foot injury but he and perhaps CB Terrance Spence (out with ankle injury) will be healthy enough to play on Saturday. I think OL Schon will be good to go on Sat.

Happy to see that HC did not raise the price of tickets or parking for the playoff game. Having seen how much pro teams will gouge you on playoff prices, that was a pleasant surprise.
