Outstanding news. Quite an impressive GPA. Does anyone know what Peter's post grad plans are? Medical school? Chemistry grad school? Or play next year at an FBS school?

Congratulations to Peter Oliver on an outstanding year as both a scholar and as an athlete!

I don't think we've had an Academic All-American in a long time - I hope our SID office makes sure that ends this year with Oliver - he's got the credentials !

Outstanding. 3.95 as a double major while playing football--impressive. Personally, I think Chemistry was the single hardest subject I studied in any level of schooling (with Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code coming in a close second), and still believe that the good-hearted Brother Cornelius at St. John's Prep gave me a B out of sympathy.

Peter's great play on the football field and academics are outstanding. To me--and I think I have a good nose for PR opportunities from my years in marketing--the fact that he also plays the violin in a student ensemble is the real hook. A good PR team should be able to make hay with that combo.

Congrats to Peter for his past and current accomplishments. He is one outstanding individual from a great family. I believe he will try and come back for another year of football at Holy Cross, if the Crusaders do not win the FCS championship this year.....looking forward to his punishing runs.

Newfie, I may have posted previously that the Prep is literally in my backyard. The lights of Ryken and Brother Linus are the first and last things I see every day. We couldn’t have a better neighbor.

The HC release is a more than a bit mis-leading. The announcement opens with Oliver being named PL student athlete of the year. Several paragraphs later, one learns he is the PL student athlete of the year for football, and is the third HC football player to be so honored. Still, a great accomplishment!!!!!
