The Career Statistics Database at GoHolyCross.com has Lentz catching one pass for 19 yards in 1966 and Lawson having one completion for 19 yards the same year. So that must be the pass in memory, but not a TD. That was Jack Lentz's lone career reception I do not remember it in that 1966 BC game, but it could have been. If it did happen in that game, it was not for a TD.

I clearly remember it as a TD. Must have just been a crucial 1st down. Maybe I shouldn’t have had all those Budweisers. There could also be an error, although the stat is the same in sports-reference.com. I do know of one player whose goholycross.com stats are way off from what is actual.

Leave it to data bases to ruin another memory.

I have been home sick this week with pneumonia symptoms. Watching a lot of Villanova on Youtube and the Golf Channel. I decided to watch Orange Bowl highlights. I respect that HC was not a passing offense during the 1945-46 season but the aforementioned Orange Bowl catch was neither spectacular or inspiring. Bowl game or not.
