Good for both Jake was slightly more deserving than Matt.

Good for both Jake was slightly more deserving than Matt. How many of Brady's Super Bowl MVP's was he the clear cut favorite for (besides the 3-28 comeback vs Atlanta)? The QB gets the shine and the glare it seems.

Thrilled that the Gold Helmet was awarded to a man wearing Purple! So happens this year, that statement is true at both the Division 1 and the Division 2/3 level. newenglandfootballwriters.com/this-weeks-recipients-1At the Division 2/3 level, Bobby Maimaron’s mother is a Holy Cross Alumna. The same is true regarding a Purple connection to the Coach of the Year, even though he currently is wearing Blue and Gold. Also of note, at the Division 2/3 level, the Coach of the Year, Chris Pincince, is a former Holy Cross OC, 2004-2007. Chris was coached by Dan Allen at BU. Ironic that his success this year, rode on the arm of Connor Degenhardt. Connor is a finalist in Super Region 1 for the Harlon Hill Award.

99% graduation rate, tied for #1. The honors don't get any better than that. I want our sports teams to win as much as anyone (and sometimes complain accordingly), but nothing makes me prouder than seeing this graduation rate.

Jacob Dobbs came in 10th in voting for the Buck Buchanan award - which I believe is the Defensive Player of the Year in FCS.

Find it hard to believe there are 9 defensive players better than Jake in the FCS. He'll get it next season!!
