Congratulations on breaking the record.
Could be worse on the disparity. There was a time when swimmers had to figure out how to get themselves over to Clark to practice

And the Hockey team had to catch a ride with classmates going to Breens to get to the Webster Square ice rink for practice.

WPI's top swimmer this year does that same event at 56.89....just to compare. A WPI swimmer in 2019-2020 season did that same event in 54.67 and they had two others beat his number with 55.27 and 55.42. All three were better than Nacsimben's 55.43

Many schools don't even show it in their list of school records.

It isn't run at America East either

The 100 IM rarely takes place and is never swam at a championship meet, which makes a huge difference in swimming. Definitely not an event you would want to use as a benchmark to compare programs.

I, for one, like this. As this situation becomes more common, maybe there will be a push to re-visit the rule

Once again you're comparing apples to oranges. You have to compare in season times to in season times or championship times to championship times. If you compare Holy Cross' midseason meet times with in season meets of low level power 5 schools, they are very similar. WPI had their midseason meet this weekend while HC was racing a dual meet.
