Villanova up 21-14 at half time. Nova fans are hoping the team that beat JMU at JMU shows up. Not the team stomped by W&M at Nova. So far, the good Nova is there.

Ton of empty seats at Nova. Started watching when I couldn’t take watching the basketball game anymore.

Much bigger crowd when HC visited. Doesn't look more than 5k.
Nice stop by the Jacks after Villanova really drove the ball well. Nova seems faster on all sides. Now SDSU gets a big catch early here in the 3rd to move it into positive territory.

21-21. Jacks opened up some nice holes on their first drive of the second half. Almost made a catastrophic mistake on a punt return when the returner grabbed the ball in a crowd for no apparent reason and Nova took it out of his hands. Luckily for the Jacks, a Nova player had already touched it.

This has been quite a good game, but the Jackrabbits are starting to grind Villanova down.

35 to 21. Doesn’t look good for Nova. We should be playing the Rabbits today in South Dakota.

Smith finally looks like the Smith of last week and throws, what should be, a game ending pick.
SDSU is good...would have been a tough assignment particularly minus an injured Dobbs.

Pierre Strong, the outstanding running back for the Jacks, was injured in the first quarter, and in street clothes during the second half. Big loss for SDSU, though his replacement ran for 174 yards.
Smith was 17 for 26, with one bad pick in the 4th quarter.

Smith was 17 for 26, with one bad pick in the 4th quarter. Strong and Smith were BOTH all Valley backs in 2020. Definitely would've helped the Jacks to have both the rest of the way. Imagine how good they'd be if their QB wasn't still out from the ACL tear suffered in Frisco last year.

Bobcats jumped out to a 28-0 lead, Bearkats cut it to 28-12 but Montana St goes on a 99 yd drive to push the lead to 35-12 with about 5 left in 3rd.

Not a bad day predicted for Bozeman next weekend (Fri or Sat). Weather shouldn't be a factor; and the other game is indoors.

I would've tried to watch the Nova-SDSU game but it was a tough time slot competing with Army-Navy, the MLS Cup (NYCFC-Portland) and Holy Cross-Siena.
Had to go to local bar so I could watch the first two on TV screens and prop my phone on a Miller Lite can to watch the HC game.

You watched soccer on TV?? It's Advent, not Lent--why the self-punishment?

Lucky they don't re-seed! I believe home field between two unseeded teams is determined by who beat the higher seed. Had we beaten Villanova, we would've gone to Brookings because we would have inherited the 5 seed while SDSU inherited the 4 seed from Sac State.

Here are the first and third parts.... 1.) Thanks Ky '75 for calling and reminding me that I forgot to post my football picks.... 3.) If you post your picks after our conversation I will not post about our conversation about the great JMU victory!!! Conclusions: You cannot trust your fellow alums as they show no respect for their elders and will do anything to get ahead in the standings!!! WHAT A GUY, WHAT A GUY!!!
