Offense sputtering not because of Wade. He chucks another long bomb that would have been a TD but open receiver couldn't catch it.

Jake is a tremendous punt returner-among our best ever. Does it seem that he goes to the right almost every time?

Wade sacked back to back. We are in reverse.

Wasp misses FG. And we are missing opportunities

Here's my worry now--Gtown gets a series of 12-15 yard passes as we play "prevent" and we lose on a FG
Delighted that my fears were unfounded!!!!

We win 21-20.
Defense comes through when needed.

An awful GTown team handed us this one point win today. A full scholarship team beats a no-scholarship team by one point. FU will beat us next week. Take that to the bank. So we will end the season at 4-7. Pathetic. CTG's record at HC is less than mediocre.

The point differential today clearly the difference between four years of scholarship players and no scholarships. The bar has been raised, folks!

The thing is, we aren't really close to where we need to be if we want to revitilize HC football....a win is a win is a win, yeah....but I see hardly any signs that this is a program headed in the right direction/on the upswing.

It was nice to win, but truly a struggle for our last win of the season. Good bye Gilmore.

Can we agree that having Wade back is a big plus? He makes next week look a less lopsided. Will HC have any healthy running backs left to use against the Rams? Was Cozier hurt and, if so, how badly?

Didn't see it as I was at my son's bball game but glad to see we got the W even if it wasn't pretty.

The HC defense had their best half of the year in the second half today. The offensive line gave Wade the time he needed on most plays. It was a win - even if ugly. Have we seen so many HC wins that we can take one for granted?
Was that last HC punt downed at the 1 because of player remembered to pick up his legs (get out of the end zone) before he touched the ball?

He was definitely hurt after scoring his second TD. The video showed them looking and holding his knee but announcers speculated he just had the wind knocked out of him.
But he never returned to the game that I saw.
If it is his knee, we may be down yet another RB. Walker looked decent and put up good numbers. Dropped passes from usually reliable receivers hurt.Wade had a lot of pressure the second half and our OL looked porous.
Second half: HC 0 GU 3. Not good.

As you've said in your typical delusionary babble, hc87, PL football is a great fit for HC. Your vision for every season is so clear. H.C. handily rolls over the plebeian PL competition without breaking a sweat. Thus, allowing 5 or 6 big o.o.c. games a year with the real H.C. peers, the national powerhouses. Relax hc87, not to worry,.... everything's just a tad delayed.

Tom Gilmore is probably a very hard-working, upstanding coach....he is not the right coach for HC moving forward. The results speak for themselves. He escaped today with a one-point win ovah a program that has no scholarships and zero institutional support while he himself has a full complement of scholarship players and an administration that is supporting football (so it seems anyway) now.
It's just time for a new direction....

Regardless of next week's outcome, I have to agree it may be time for a change - I do hope he can end his time at HC (if such is to happen) with a big win for his Crusaders.

A number of years ago, the AGS board once had someone who claimed to have talked to a former GU assistant who said they had less than 5 equivalencies. I think that's low, but the offense is at the bottom nationally in almost every category.
