Avoids a conflict with the Patriots game. Always a silver lining. The league office will participate in rescheduling talks. Shouldn't there be a "third man in" rule like in hockey?🤔
I hope everyone approaches this as the virus caused the scheduling adjustment, not Lehigh.

It seems likely that this sort of COVID postponement will continue to happen for the next 3 to 4 weeks. The league should already be stepping in to re-organize what a week of conference play looks like to fit three games in so the short gap remains consistent for teams. Currrently, it's mostly Wed-Sat with some Sunday mixed in. Wouldn't they be wise to begin to re-structure the week for Tues/Thurs/Sat-Sun for February?

Really can't afford to wait too long or getting games in could be a problem.

I saw complaints on this board about HC having three midweek flights (even though two were during break)

Good point on academics, Bfoley. Both teams would be in practice (2.5 hours of athletic countable hours I am guessing) on those games nights so I guess it comes down to how much more time would it take for travel and is that an impact that would be problematic? I don't know how the admins at schools or the league would see it TBH. Any thoughts?

I like the Friday night/Sunday afternoon combo to knock off road trips to Lafayette/Lehigh, Colgate/Bucknell and two Capital area teams in one weekend. If you can fit a Monday holiday in, it could be Saturday afternoon/night and Monday afternoon to avoid any missed class time.

I checked the Power 5 and they mentioned that the athletic schedule comes before class time. LOL

There is no chance of a Tue/Thu/Sat schedule for more than possibly one week. Schools won't allow that much missed class time.

The players won't drop dead if they play Saturday and Sunday and mid week once or twice to catch up, especially if both teams are in the same boat. I believe Ernie Banks commented on that concept.

BU, Colgate, and Army are all day trips for HC as in could leave at noon and be back in Worcester by midnight.

BU, Colgate, and Army are all day trips for HC as in could leave at noon and be back in Worcester by midnight. A way to do that now is to reach agreement with Army and Colgate that both teams will skip the hotel for their away game and thus have a completely level playing court for this season while cutting down Covid exposure in the community at restaurants, hotels, etc.

BU is an easy back and forth; West Point a bit harder; but the trip to and from Colgate is rough having done it with buddies for a football game in 1968 . . . . and we were just spectators. Having lived in the Syracuse area for years, Hamilton is pictured in the dictionary for the word "boondocks." I suppose young athletes wouldn't have that much of a problem riding on a bus but I'd bet a hotel stay would be preferable.

Perhaps you just drive faster than we did or a bus does.

No way Colgate is an up-and-back-in-a-day if you are playing a game that day.
