I mentioned that back around Thanksgiving?? Rose22 indicated he was good and ready to go, but I agree with you -- Unfortunately I was wrong!

I think we lost because of those ugly uniforms our boys were sporting. They must go regardless of any success or lack thereof on the court.

Not in favor of black unit, but I do like the "crusader" on the chest

Assistants can neither be credited for wins nor blamed for losses. They take orders from the head coach. Coaching is not democratic. Period. To echo this point, Joe Kennedy has largely been around the Princeton Offense for the majority of his coaching career. It's a complete 180 from where Nelson has us playing currently. I think if Joe were running the team on a full time basis, we'd look a lot more like Carmody's teams than Nelson's. I doubt you would see significant changes if he took over. A lot of subtle ones, perhaps, like the oob plays.

Unless the entire coaching staff sits around a table to create Nelson's little list that he keeps in his pocket I have seen a guy on the football sidelines write a lot of things in a little notebook while he's coaching. I assume he also looks at some of what he writes. Believe he has a daughter that's employed by Holy Cross.

I think we all just want him to be healthy so he can perform to the best of his abilities and has a great experience leading the team forward. Hope he recovers soon!

I understand that the head coach has to make the final call and gets the ultimate blame and credit for wins and losses, but the assistants have to bear responsiblity along with him for the preparation of the team in practice and the offseason. These guys aren't "potted plants" to steal a line from an EBW protege. I don't expect the AD to be evaluating the assistant swimming coaches, but I do expect him to take an immediate look at everyone associated with the college's marquee athletic program when things are this bad.

I don't want him hurting himself for the future (year 3 and year 4 and even year 5; year 5 at HC or elsewhere) by playing now; and he's a better player than he's been able to show.

Speaking of bigs, is anyone else not crazy with GG playing the 5? One thing our beloved PL has are some sizable lads manning the 5 spot. Seems unfair to ask GG to guard the likes of Dike, Screen, Mathon, Quinn, and others. I know I'll be going nuts tomorrow night if Louth isn't in the game before the first media timeout.
Ok, well GG made me look a bit silly last night, by turning around this statement. He made it a bad matchup for Quinn.
