League better get going on a scheduling plan. January is going to have more postponements and fitting them into the few open slots is not going to be possible.

Maybe an adjustment in the protocols is in order? (Perhaps combined with a rescheduling plan.)

Maybe an adjustment in the protocols is in order? (Perhaps combined with a rescheduling plan.) I think you're on to what will happen, HCpride. They can either impose forfeits or possibly adjust protocols if there is room to do that. Those protocols may differ from school to school though. Has the league ever announced what the protocols are for any sport? Is another uneven schedule/seedings acceptable this season?

However administrators don't get a bonus for being creative to play the games but do face repercussions if the sensible but riskier option is chosen and blows up. Forfeits should be considered if a school chooses to exceed the league wide protocols, which being the PL may very well not exist. I don't want forfeits, however. I like to watch the games.

Three games a week should be possible before 2nd semester classes begin - for HC that’s Jan 25 I believe But Covid has to slow down to make that feasible

I don't think there was any appetite for forfeits last year but am wondering if teams/coaches are feeling different about that this season.

Time to adopt the NFL's corona policy.

Time to adopt the NFL's corona policy. What's different in NFL policy compared to PL?

Wednesday is enough notice so if there is another PL team that is healthy but postponed due to their opponent's protocol, hitch up the buckboard wagon.

If Loyola still can't play (right now it says they can), they're playing BU, so by all means, GAME ON.

Has the league ever announced what the protocols are for any sport? Is another uneven schedule/seedings acceptable this season? Is it true that the protocols differ from schools to school? I know every school situation is different but somewhat surprised the League didnt implement some basic standard in order to get these games in. Something like if you have 8 players that test negative the day before the game. Obviously there are 1000s of what ifs you can get into as far as all the testing and when to test but to let the schools themselves decide is a little wonky and might introduce a little gamesmanship into the mix... Like I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to postpone a game if a few of your impact players can't play. Maybe no implementing a general rule has something with the league putting the liability of making the decision on the schools? Either way seems like the league is hurtling towards both a scheduling and seeding nightmare at the end of the year. I'd be shocked at this point if they play a full round robin slate in a league that prioritizes academics over athletics.

Holy Cross is reporting 50 41 positives Jan 3 and 4. 507 tests. A slim majority appear to be staff, but, at this moment, the dataset is incomplete.
----------------- Interpolating the data, it appears, at the moment, to be 13 students and 28 staff.

Indoor track season for the men and women picks up on Jan 15. Swimming and diving also resumes in mid-January.

They could help us all out if they would just put a webcam over the front door of the Luth!

Since Lafayette cancelled their game with HC in PA. , perhaps HC could ask them to come to Worcester early and play on Monday or Tuesday instead of Wednesday Jan. 19 and then play the make up game against us on Thursday and HC can then bus directly from Lafayette to Bucknell for Saturday's game. It would be good to make up the game sooner rather than later before postponed games pile up for either school.
Two games in one week against the same opponent? Who cares. Same as baseball and softball.
