Hart will not be selling concessions until further notice. Plan on eating before the game. Although old timers might find the idea of eating at Herbie's frightening, they actually have a good seafood thing on Fridays. Good food really cheap means you'll be fighting the retiree crowd if that's your dinner option pre-Lafayette (though they'll be cleared out by 6:00 )

What are the rules about bringing in something? Do not see it spelled out anywhere.

What are the rules about bringing in something? Do not see it spelled out anywhere. I am not aware of any policy. I carried a sealed water bottle into every football game and nothing was said. Going back several years, I knew a good Irish girl with a lot of kids who used to bring her crew and packed lunch so she wouldn't have to buy them food. It was enough of an expense to buy all the tickets. All that being said, the Hart Center is now a licensed establishment. If the "something" you're bringing is alcoholic, that would be in violation of the license.

Thanks. I just wouldn't want to get any guff over a water or a "too fruuuuuity" Snapple or something like that.

Austin Butler scrapping for the ball as usual.

Health comes first, of course. But if a school has a decent number of season tickets and those season ticket holders decide on their own not to attend, the school keeps the money instead of refunding everyone if they lock out fans. It's an incentive to close concessions as a first step. Holy Cross has a certain margin of safety because the Hart is well separated from the rest of the campus.

Ahh, what I wouldn't pay to have Austin playing for the Crusaders another year (bet we'd have at least 1 D1 win!). Great to see he's still flooring it like he did as a freshman and I used to think it wasn't a great game for him if he didn't hit the deck at least 5 times in a game. We really miss his play and, more importantly, his leadership.

Unlike HC, Ohio St specifically says fans can't bring stuff. HC didn't even mention the topic in their statement Friday night vs Sat Aft + snow during the day => I'm predicting fewer fans than the Navy game. Way fewer than a typical game in Columbus Not enough people to bother with an Ohio St -like edict. I would be stunned if anyone questioned a sealed water bottle. Less certain but still probable, you could walk in with your Breen's steak and cheese to go sandwich

One reason for the no concession stand policy may be that they don’t want people unmasking in a mostly empty gym to eat or drink. If that’s the case, bringing in stuff could be prohibited.

My solution is to watch the game in the comfort of my home. I can eat whatever I want there. I'd offer up my 2 tickets but based on the response to my same offer for the Navy game, no point in even trying. I'm not going in person due to:
1. Covid (Omicron!) concerns 2. Probably lousy weather 3. Probably lousy game 4. Probable another Crusader loss

Touche L/S! It appears with the cancellation of all spectators, that all I needed was reason #1. I'm not going to hold my breath on how fast they refund my tickets and would put money that they will first ask if I'd like to "donate" the funds to Holy Cross rather than refund it. I do expect they will, at minimum, have to wait to see how many games will prevent spectators from attending. It would be the height of stupidity to refund one game at a time.

Past practice says that is how it will be. I was given the option of donating the cost of my Fall 2020 football tickets to the Crusader Athletic Fund or get a refund
