Montana State's Sr. All-America LB Troy Anderson played QB for them in 2018 and was All-Big Sky that season. He got a couple of snaps at QB today in second half but that was it.

At some point, the NDSU program/community has to reach the Peggy Lee "Is that all there is?" level, no? 100%. Unless you move the Fargo Dome somewhere else, nope. Or that entire league moves up to BCS. Same w/Div 3, too. There hasn't been a champion outside of the schools that were in this year's final four since 2004.

Thanks for all your work . It made me watch the whole championship game. I thought I had it wrapped up at halftime ,but nervous after NDSU took their foot off the gas in the second half . Thanks for the bamboo.prize.

There hasn't been a champion outside of the schools that were in this year's final four since 2004.It hasn't been quite THAT long. Villanova won in 2009, Richmond in 2008, App State 2005-2007. But starting in 2010 you have NDSU x 9, Sam Houston x 2 and JMU x 1 -- that's it. This is why I was really hoping Montana State would win it this year. NDSU support network and fan base should be at the point where they would have to be ready, willing and able to jump at an FBS invite at this point. But they're a significant geographic outlier for any of the G5 conferences. MAC or Mountain West would make most sense but MAC has already made it clear they're not looking to expand just for the sake of expansion. And the Mountain West probably doesn't come calling unless they get raided by Big 12 or AAC, but that bullet appears to have been dodged for now for the MWC. At this point North Dakota State and South Dakota State will probably get into the Missouri Valley Conference for basketball/all sports before NDSU gets an FBS conference invite.

Mount Union, North Central, Wisconsin Whitewater, Mary Tyler Hardin Baylor or whatever it is.

Monmouth to the CAA looks imminent: Good for Monmouth and, clearly, even w/Elon,W&M, NH and Maine, the road trips are considerably shorter than they are in the Big South.

As a football affiliate only?? Would think that Monmouth would be invited for all sports.
