Inside Lacrosse has a very curious way of coming up with rankings - basing it solely on the average number of stars for a team's recruits who are 3 stars or better. So if Team A has 15 four-star recruits and one three-star recruit, its ranking would be LOWER than a team with one four-star recruit and no others.

Siena is now 5-8 and 2-3 in the MAAC which is the worst lacrosse conference in the nation.

On the other hand, BU clinched the number 1 seed in the mens tourney. They only been a varsity program since the start of the 2013-2014 school year. Impressive feat for the Terriers.

Very nice profile on Will Spangenberg on CBS Sports Network this afternoon during halftime of the BU, Lehigh Semi-final game. The video featured Will’s Holy Cross Shark Tank presentation and his business called Sader Sleep. The business provides high quality mattresses for students to ensure a good night’s rest during the semester. His plans are to expand the business to other college campuses.
Once the video is available, I hope it is posted on HC Twitter or on GoHolyCross.

/\ /\ BU is a very popular and very well-regarded school in a great town. With the right coach, they’ve landed and developed talented kids. Their top three scorers (by a wide margin) and LSM are LIers. (I follow local LI lax a bit). I see continued PL success in their future.
FWIW, no at-large PL lax bids even though it was a strong PL lax year. Ivy League (5 at-large plus the champ) was very strong. Princeton will be quite a challenge for BU in round 1 (BU lost to Princeton earlier this year).

Princeton prevailed 12-5 today before a boisterous crowd--including about 150 fans from BU--at Sherrerd Field. Tigers jumped out to a 4-0 lead and were never threatened. Not sure what the official attendance was, but the grandstand was about 3/4 full, despite the rain and hefty ticket price of $20 each.

Grad transfer from ND to Lehigh. The curse of Sean Kearney strikes HC again. No. Although the article is poorly worded, the player they refer to played four years for Lehigh before transferring to ND for a 5th year as a grad student. ND has unlimited resources and rostered about 60 players. Another of their grad transfers was the son of Bucknell's coach, Frank Fedorjaka. Unless the PL recently changed the rules, no grad transfers are allowed at PL schools.

Hard to come away from this season with many positives. We were ranked 67th out of 72 D1 teams in Scoring Offense and 70th out of 72 in Scoring Defense with a 1-13 record. I guess it can't get much worse than that?
Reppert certainly needs to take a look in the mirror. While he may not have "his guys" or "recruits" on campus yet, some of the decisions this season left me scratching my head. From a personnel perspective, it seemed like there was never any chemistry able to be formed with him mixing up the lineup every quarter. My #1 concern is his evaluation of talent, while certainly we had a number of players with streaky seasons I'd like to think anyone who watched more than 1 game could tell you who our top 6 offensive players were. I can probably count on one hand how many times those 6 were on the field at the same time the ENTIRE season. At Attack it should have been McIntire,DiNanno, and Spangenberg - the midfield should have been Lambert,Lynch, and Boyle. Those were our top 6 point producers (Lambert started 3/14 games and Boyle started 5/14 games for context). He consistently put Magalotti and Morrissey out there in the top 6 (10th and 11th on the team in points behind players who were on the 2nd or 3rd midfield line).
The bottom line: We are never going to be as deep as other teams in the Patriot League, however we can compete when we play our top 7-8 offensive players max. Look at our success - 2017 team who beat Navy in the PL semifinals was playing 7 O guys, 2019 & 2020 team played 7 and the occasional 8th player a game. Reppert is coaching like he is at Maryland with crazy depth playing 10-12 O guys a game - news flash coach, your time on the hill is going to be very short if you keep up with that.
Replacing 4 year starters in Conlin & Spangenberg will be a tall task. Conlin is a guy who will not be able to be replaced as he put his name in the record books with 40 caused turnovers this season - the real only bright spot from this season.
I want to be optimistic that Coach Reppert & staff will go back to the drawing board this summer and identify/fix the direction this program is going in. My fingers are crossed.

You are correct, it is a guess that Nichols is paying him more. If I put myself in his position I take the head coach position whether the pay is more or less. It most likely is in the same ballpark one way or the other.

From the GoFundMe for coach Reppert (link to donate at the bottom): Jill Reppert, wife to Holy Cross Men's Lacrosse Head Coach J.L. Reppert, and mother to their 10-year old son Liam, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, after a two-year courageous battle with cancer. Jill was the rock to the Reppert family. Like many coaches' spouses, she endured the demands families assume when their loved one coaches, especially at the collegiate level. She selflessly supported Coach Reppert through his time at the US Naval Academy, University of Maryland, and now with the College of Holy Cross while being a teacher, and raising Liam. The coaching profession, in general, yields demanding and unique scheduling challenges. J.L. and Liam will soon enter into their first holiday season and the 2023 lacrosse season shortly after without Jill. This fund has been created to financially assist the Reppert Family as J.L. navigates managing his day-to-day logistics and care for Liam, along with long-term planning for Liam's future education. Coach Reppert is a friend to many and has positively impacted countless young men throughout his coaching career. It is time for the greater lacrosse community to rally around J.L. and Liam to provide support as they face the inevitable challenging weeks, months, and years ahead together. Your support and generosity are sincerely appreciated. This GoFundMe page was created by Coach Reppert's colleague, Mara Gallagher, and will close on December 12, 2022 at the conclusion of the IMLCA's Annual Coaches Summit. 100% of funds collected from this GoFundMe, along with donations sent via mail, will be sent to J.L. Reppert. www.gofundme.com/f/HuddleUpForRepp?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_source=customer
