When are we going to get an announcement? Unfortunately no time soon!!! BN will not pull the trigger. Just my gut feeling. Considering not too long ago we fired a coach after a 20 win season, this is ridiculous. Announcement should have been made by now. I do not believe we’d retain this coach unless the entire athletic department has broken off from reality entirely.

IDK but it seems many mid-majors are losing three or four kids a year the past few years. 1700+ D-1 kids entered the portal following the 2021 hoops season. It is also true we have been awful on the court. (I follow Stony Brook hoops and they have lost kids at the same rate as HC but they also have brought in several pretty good ones via the portal). If kids are entering the portal at a much higher rate at HC compared to other PL schools, then it's clearly a problem and an indictment on Nelson. Do any of our researchers know how many kids from the other PL schools are in the portal? It would be interesting to see how our four (+1 grad) transfers compares to other PL schools

Best I can say is a lot of the defectors were Carmody recruits, but BN recruit departures are adding up and will soon surpass FCBC. I think the current count is 7 scholarship players in the portal to 5

Kit’s starting to annoy me with his Twitter activity and overuse of emojis.
It’s the same way the last two fraud ADs tweeted.
Are they reaching this crap at “AD School?” What is the purpose of it? Do they really think tweeting like teenagers helps them connect with alumni?
I really hope he’s more than another fake pom-pom waver solely focused on his public image.

Whats the average age of people that follow HC on twitter. 25? Unlike your hoops team the baseball team beat Harvard.

God forbid Hughes has fun and is excited about wins.
Given the average age of HC diehards he's doing a good thing trying to engage a younger demo of fans that's been ignored for years, and is sorely needed at HC. He also hit the ground running in the Worc community to get the vibe.
Be nice if the MBB coach did the same given the crowds will be Raynor-era esque next season, and nothing pisses off an AD more than an empty arena.

Can you imagine Ron Perry Sr tweeting??? Different world today, I get it....just sayin'..... Sorry, this is an idiotic take. The AD job is in no small part about the sales/marketing/image projection of the school and its teams. You know who’s on Twitter/Instagram? HS athletes, their families and their coaches. Maintaining an active presence there is absolutely a part of the job. So in that sense, yes they are absolutely “teaching it in AD school”. And as for Ron Perry… if the job called for it, he’d embrace it.

Just off the top of my head, a few senior citizens who are prolific on twitter:
Dick Vitale Dionne Warwick Chuck Yeager (before he died)

The ball is in Kit's court......what's the first priority when it comes to basketball......
Make the residents of Worcester and Central Mass remember that Holy Cross has a basketball program.
Sounds simple and stupid but that's the level it's at right now.

I always put the purple cross in my HC-related tweets. Or at least many times I do. If Apple was so kind to rep Alma Mater, who am I not to take advantage?

Just off the top of my head, a few senior citizens who are prolific on twitter: Dick Vitale Dionne Warwick Chuck Yeager (before he died) I get the fact that it is a great way to get a message out to a whole generation. Public figures can also use it to keep themselves in the public eye. Unless it was a job requirement for his post military PR assignments, I'm surprised a general/aviation pioneer would be prolific on a social media platform invented 30 years after he retired or that a typical millennial would know or care enough about him to follow him ---------------------------- I should also add as the old curmudgeon, although I do appreciate some of the HC hoops tweets reposted here, I don't really care enough about 90+% of the stuff to form a positive or negative opinion about them. Yup, post about a baseball win. Nice to get the word out. I don't care if he uses 10 or zero emoji's or catch hash tags
