Massey makes Army an 8 point favorite (73-65) with an 80% chance for the win. The cadets are currently 13-9 with win over Lafayette and Navy (by 1) along with a 13 point loss to Lehigh in their last 3 games.

Massey obviously doesn’t realize there’s a new sheriff in this PL town.

Honestly there is no PL team that an opponent should fear- whether in or out of the league
This league has favorites that can win 3 games. I doubt any can win four, and the tournament might not have favorites to get to the semis

To me, despite the many issues with the program, the lack of a favorite in this league makes our overall performance disappointing. Can we turn it around? Any team that can legitimately play has a shot this year.

Any team that can legitimately play has a shot this year. I’m hoping the guys have finally found their rhythm, intensity and most importantly their confidence to pull off a few more upsets. I like the bench depth being used too

We always seemed to play well at Army during the Brown and Carmody eras. Hopefully we can continue the magic and get that W Saturday.
Btw this is the first time in what seems like a million years that we've played Army in men's basketball on a Saturday in West Point. This game always seems to be a Wednesday night game. Only exception I remember was the semifinal game in 2016.

I still remember the outrageous flop by an Army player during the Patriot League semi final game. It was so blatant that a technical was assessed immediately. The space between the two seemed to have been at least three feet.

If you're going to play every Saturday and Wednesday, Army, BU, and Colgate mid week means fewer missed classes than Loyola, American, or Navy mid week

Army at Loyola on ESPN plus.. pretty even game so far, 1 point game, 7 min. left in the first half..Army is quick, and aggressive. They don't look big physically, should be a good matchup on Saturday..

Army with lots of full court zone pressure. Double teams in the backcourt, 2 2 1 press...Ball denial up front, second line moves up on lob passes..Army closes the gap at the end using a FC M2M..Hard double team on the inbounds pass, especially if the ball is on the baseline...59-52 with 1;32 left Army had the ball with 9 seconds left, Loyola got steal on a lob pass inside...61-57 Loyola, final. HC is going to have their hands full on Saturday....IMHO, HC has to use it's depth to stay a step up on Army..

DiMarz needs to be on the sideline/bench if we want a shot on Saturday I'd love to sit with the coaches and talk hoops....Just give them a different perspective on the team....When I coached, I talked with 2 former coaches all the time...Plus the girls coach.. Sometimes one can't see the trees living in the forest!

I saw that. I was surprised to see that. In the good old days, they wouldn't cancel for snow (maybe blizzard of '78). If a prof couldn't make it, that one class would be canceled.
Of course for posters younger than I am, in those days it was uphill heading from the hill dorms to a class in Carlin, and then up hill again heading back

HC cancelled classes due to snow for several days in February of 1969. By coincidence it occurred during “Co-Ed “ week. For those no familiar with this time in HC history, at the beginning of the spring semester of 1969, HC invited women who were already in college to attend HC in an exchange program so that HC could review the social dynamics of women at Holy Cross.
The fall of 1972 will be the 50th year of women at HC. A number of programs are planned for celebration.
