What's wrong with Bonsu? I think that having a kid that is from Worcester on the team is pretty nice; Chesney has already done a great job engaging with the locals, and having a kid from Worcester only helps that. Could add some depth and maybe be a ST kind of kid. Presumably, he's on a full scollie at UMass. Aside from the fact that he would need to repeat his junior year in order to matriculate at HC, his list of schools appears to be self-selected. He has visited CCSU and Merrimack. He names Yale. Yale does not take grad transfers. The Ivies don't let rostered players play a fifth year in grad school. The UMass roster doesn't provide roster bios, there is no info on Bonsu, e.g., his major, other than he graduated from the Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School. In four years of playing for UMass (including his redshirt year), he appeared in a total of five games, and has one carry for five yards.

Could he enroll at HC via the 3/2 program, and have his four semesters be at HC and WPI?

My guess is we are not seriously considering Bonsu. No actual info.

I don't want to rule out that option, but one would need to know his undergraduate major at UMass to determine whether that is an option. Presumably he is completing four academic years at UMass and will receive a degree next month. Which is why he states he is a "grad transfer". I think it's feasible to enroll at HC for two years and obtain a second undergraduate degree. E.g., someone who received an undergraduate sociology degree from University X, and then enrolled in HC for two years for an undergraduate degree in computer science. While this may be feasible, it certainly would be an education path rarely, if ever, taken.

If I have it correctly, a transfer from Old Dominion. Great size at 6-5, 300. Reshirted in 2022, so 4 years of eligibility. Apparently a brother of HC's Cam McNair.

Caron had ACC, Mountain West, MAC and Conference USA offers in High School at Donovan Catholic.
Holy Cross Football just keeps getting….better and….better and…better and …..
Appears to be a player who will be an impact on either the OL or DL with his height and weight.
Welcome Caron to Mt. St.James!

Was he listed at ODU on offense or D ? OT. I’ve watched his HS tape. He’s athletic enough to play either. Would love to see him at DT as that’s where we need depth. OT we are pretty set at least in 2023.

If he is wanted to work towards a second bachelor degree and live at home, would the scholarship for Worcester residents count against HC's PL cap of 60 full scholarship equivalents? If not but still counted against the FCS cap of 63 scholarships, HC would have a window for three additional football players from Worcester.

IIRC the conversation years ago, he would not be a counter if he was on a ROTC scholarship, or any financial aid awarded by a third party, e.g., the Federal government, that is awarded to an individual independent of the school the student is attending.

Apparently a brother of HC's Cam McNair. imagine the excitement if he'd been part of the official '23 recruiting season rather than a 4 yr eligible xfer. Great job by Cam and the staff. Now get Pesansky's little brother.

Pesansky's brother committed to UNC. Someone should tell him it’s a basketball school. Wouldn’t have that problem at HC. Though I guess that could be changing.
