Massey has Colgate as a 14 point favorite (78-64), gives them a 91% chance for the win, and I'll be picking Colgate. ***We have them right where we want them.

I don’t think Massey even has ESPN+.

Safe to assume the team while in NY went directly to Colgate yesterday

CU's schedule the rest of the way is identical to HC's- 9 games, 3 sets of Mon/Wed/Sats. And 6 home, 3 away too.

Did I mention the trees?? Approaching AWP from the north is very hilly. Trees were solid ice, and quite spectacular with the sun shining on them

Storm King Mountain can be hazardous. Twenty years ago after leaving the HC-Army game on a Saturday afternoon, a deer almost hit me while crossing the road.

More than 20 years ago while leaving West Point and driving through Highland Falls, I was stopped by a bear - a Smokey in CB parlance.
Claimed I made “a rolling stop” through one of the many stop signs in the town. He asked me “did you see that stop sign back there?” My response: “which one are you referring to officer? I saw about 10 and stopped for all of them.”
He may not have liked my Mustang; was even younger than me (looked about 18); and couldn’t have weighed 130 pounds dripping wet. I gave him as much respect as I could muster and when I told him me and the Mrs. were on our way home from West Point, he let me off with a “have a nice day.”
Though wearing a Smokey hat he was not NY State trooper but Highland Falls cop.
So, is that more exciting than almost being hit by Bambi?😂

Colgate has good bigs, and great 3 point shooters..HC has to find a way to keep those shooters in check and rebound the misses! 'Gate likes to shoot the 3 ball in transition, so we have to get back on D and find our match-ups quickly..I think Gates will score inside, and we have to continue to attack the rim, and hit open 3's.
6 PM START MONDAY!!!!

Their spacing and off the ball movement could be an issue for us on defense, and offensively, at least the games I have seen, we might struggle against them as they try to push you out farther from the hoop to start your attack. Also, they play solid support and team defense.
we might have a competitive game, possibly stealing a 2-5 point win, or be blown out by 15 or more

Who will rule the hardwood on Monday, Gates or the ‘gate?
(It ain’t quite Rumble in the Jungle, but hey, it’s been a long winter - in too many ways.)
Go Cross!

Colgate will come out firing up 3's, and they won't get discouraged if they are not falling right away. Hopefully they don't - my biggest worry is they do hit 3 or 4 quickly, and we're down double digits at the first media TO. Then the football team (the one that got pummeled at Polar Park) will get all rowdy and loud (The Cotterel Crazies as their announcer calls them, lol).
Great measuring stick coming up!

Would almost be worth the drive to Hamilton to start the “let’s play football” chant if they get too crazy.

Looks like Massey's 14 underdog tab was "conservative."

Colgate is 7th in the country in 3FG%, and takes a high percentage of its shots from beyond the arc, so unsurprisingly, they don't get to the line much.
Holy Cross, on the other hand, registered a 50% FTR (FTA/FGA) against Army, its best mark in over three years. Need to keep attacking the rim, drawing fouls and making freebies.

Really hope we see more of Louth tonight. In the last three games, he's played 36m - 12p, 15r, 3a, 1 TO.
Colgate is the third-best rebounding team in the PL. Against the two best rebounding teams in the conference (BU and Navy), he's posted very similar numbers - 36m, 14p, 11r, 5a, 1TO.

They had 4 players score in double figures vs American. We have to lock down the defense against them or they will score in the 90's.

The problem is that we can't arrange for Colgate to foul only Luc.
