Bill Carmody knows basketball talent (PB being an exception) better than you, Konchalski and me combined. Coach Carmody's rotation speaks volumes. How does Carmody not know talent as it applies to PB? He is getting a ton of run this year, after learning the system and is thriving. Obviously, he was not ready last year as was apparent when he got in. Why would this year's frosh have to be different? Perhaps they need more time to learn his style. Cheers.

You and Konchalski were touting a frosh, don't deny it. He is mired at the end of the bench with the walk-ons. BTW, why did I not see him on the bench yesterday dressed or in civvies? I root for all the frosh, but my evaluation of them is independent of my rooting. Shockingly, much like HC70, no one cares for your evals. How do you evaluate them, btw? What factors do you use? Amazingly, you, much like 70, immediately create a divisive atmosphere. Shocker. We have had peace on this board for months, then you appear. Please go away. Cheers. Was fun while it lasted. Dean Wormer - are you out there?

It seems to me that some freshmen are ready to play a lot of minutes from Game One while others take time to (1) adjust to the speed of the college game and/or (2) learn a new offense and/or defense. Let's remember, as an example, that Malcolm Miller played only 204 minutes his freshman season but was a pretty strong contributor as a junior and senior.

Geez, this is college basketball, not war in Iraq and Syria. Everyone lighten up.
Unless he wants to admit it, you can either assume ncaam is an alias for HC70, or not. While I agree that his philosophical position is spookily similar to HC70's, it really should make no difference. If you disagree with him you have basically three options even if he is HC70:
1. activate the "ignore" feature, which works reasonably well unless someone quotes him
2, click on the wonderful new "dislike" feature for posts you disagree with or
3.get agita at every post and have looping back and forth debates in which neither you nor ncaam will ever find common ground and will just annoy everyone else even more
I will choose option 1. Hopefully, no one will quote him and then it will be the same as if he doesn't exist on Crossports.

I have blocked him in toto.
Hopefully others can police him.
Cheers.

You should have hit the ignore button for him. Don't take the bait.

How thin skinned must one be to either (a) incessantly whine about someone posting on a message board and/or (b) be so upset about someone posting on a message board that the only way to survive is to block all of that person's posts from appearing on your screen?

I'm thinking the three "9 or Fewer" voters should be rethinking their pessimism

Well, I am still spot on at 3-4. However, I picked HC to win the next 3 so we'll see how long that streak lasts. HC is underdog at UNH (now by 3), favored at Maine (by 11), and favored by 8 at home vs Quinnipiac.

Assuming your picks pan out 318, in the last 16 games of the "awakening", CBC would be 11-5 with 8 of 10 road wins; 1-3 on neutral courts and 2-1 at home.

Bump
Now that OOC is done, some people might want to see how pre-season predictions are fairing

I saw 8-5 ooc - so off by 2 with HC at 6-7. [With so many close scores, could have, should have, would have = didn't ] To hit my predicted 23 wins, HC will have to pick up an extra 2 wins and take 17 (how about 1 from Lehigh and take the PL tournament?). Not likely, but not yet impossible.

My prediction for OOC was: Looking back with 20/20 hindsight, I thought the only two we lost and should have lost were South Carolina and Syracuse. I expected that we would lose also to Harvard but beat Quinnipiac, so that was a wash. The other games we lost, I believe we could and should have won. Monmouth? Let's never talk about that game again! URI? Shouldn't have won they way we played, but had we played well, even that could have been a W. No way we should have lost to UNH or Maine. We played well this afternoon but I don't want to lose my head. Let's see how we do on the road against BU.

Coulda/shoulda had 9 wins; Add Monmouth, UNH & Maine which were given away. UMass and Rhody were winnable, but a reach. I'm comfortable with my 14 win prediction in the PL. WheN the boys come ready to play, they can play with most anyone.

on schedule to meet my selection... 10, 11 or 12 wins in the next 19 games against PL seems doable especially if we own our home court and stay healthy

If wins go as predicted, we could get 2 or 3 home games in the tourney...
