I happened to attend Mass on campus yesterday. They made an announcement changing next week's schedule - moving 7:00 PM Mass to 4:30. They didn't say why, but knowing there's a certain sporting event next weekend that is also a cultural phenomenon, it made me laugh. We might not be in the entertainment business, but we certainly aren't scheduling anything opposite the Super Bowl. FWIW, even if I get a cheap laugh from the precedent, there is zero chance I will be at a 7:00 PM non football function next weekend

Here in the Ville many churches, including mine, do not offer the customary Saturday 5:00 PM Mass on Kentucky Derby Day, knowing that people will go on Sunday morning instead

I was wondering why they were changing Mass from 7:00 to 4:30 next week. That explains it. Thanks!
