Massey has Loyola MD as a 4 point favorite (69-65) and gives them a 66% chance for the win.

It could be great if HCBC and his players, along with our band, came out en masse to support the hoop team! If such attendance is allowed, it could also be a celebration for the new contract!

Nice idea but until the team wins will that work? I defer to you that are much closer to the current program

"until the team wins?" If you mean basketball, you do know the team has 3 wins in their last 4 games, don't you? Have Coach Chesney at center court at halftime and announce his extension then to his team and his fans. The final game outcome is not an issue, but I believe this could help them to perform as they did in their three straight wins.

I hope it is not based on a quick snap shot in time but a program that regularly puts Ws on the board. So when we start winning say 18 plus each year one can safely say we are winning. When that happens the attendance and support will grow and the crowds will be enthusiastic

Have students had to pay to attend games this season?

Massey has Loyola MD as a 4 point favorite (69-65) and gives them a 66% chance for the win. Massey should sync up with EFG to square away his algorithm. There is no way that.a team who was only 5-10 points worse than Colgate on the road should be a home dog against Loyola.

BBC
If we were playing as well as you suggested the team should be in the game with Colgate, which means 5-10 points. Given the small fan turnout for games, there is little home court advantage in PL games
But then again, we seize on words to build a case and our own narrative.
Based on the performances over the course of this season, and team match-ups, I agree with Massey that Loyola should be a 2-5 point favorite and expect a very tight game and with some good fortune a HC winβοΈπ
I hope we see Dorsey picking up Spencer and Louth get 22-25 minutes

Is a band permitted? Seriously. I don't think there is anything in current city or state rules that prohibit a band. If a band is not permitted, it's only because HC chooses not to permit them. I would like to see a decent student turnout with band and cheerleaders. I am not hopeful

Two questions about tonight's game:
1. Will MT play? 2. If he doesn't, will the announcers notice?

Loyola is in the 7-5 log jam. HC is right behind them in the standings a 4-6. Sometimes when seasons draw near the end with an uneven amount of games played, people talk about the loss column. A win tonight would bring HC into a tie with Loyola in the loss column. 10 games deep into an 18 game league schedule is a little too early to be talking about the loss column, but it is something
HC needs to play more like they did against Lehigh/BU/Army than Colgate. Loyola is not Colgate. They are not the class of this league right now. They are a middle of the pack team. If HC aspired to be a middle of the pack team in the short term and maybe avoid the dreaded play in game, they need to win this kind of game at home. We can't lay Monday night all on Colgate being the class of the league. Yes that was a big part, but prior to the 3 game win streak, HC threw a stinker at American giving the Eagles one of their two wins. This team hasn't shown enough consistency to make me think any given night can't still be a stinker.

When you're talking about teams having numerous games to make up, more wins are more important than less losses. The loss column doesn't mean much until perhaps the last week of the season.

Would be good to have both ends of the gym filled. That would require others to supplement the football team if they come. Not holding my breath but hope springs eternal.

Compared to other "crowds" this season, if the football team shows up it will seem like a sellout.
