Great to get another league win. If you had told me we’d be 6-6 and in 4th place in the PL, I would not have thought you were a sane person. Great to see. All this winning certainly increases the odds that Gates will elect to come back. We do still need another big at some point soon.

Kyrell Luc, a very rare talent, has been just outstanding of late. Coming into the last 6 games he had shot 56/144= .389 on his twos, with some spectacular drives for amazing baskets but with some forced shots as well-at least it seemed that was to this non-expert. I don't know whether he "is playing within himself" more now but in theses last 6 games he is 29-55= .527 on his twos, a most impressive improvement. Note also that he had six assists and no turnovers today.

Has to be a little easier to recruit when you can point to an upward trajectory of the program with tangible evidence. Until this group beats Colgate, I still think any PL championships run through Hamilton NY. But our day could be coming! And kudos to a old, dumb but lovable poster who thought the extra games would be a blessing in disguise. On to AU!

You can see some really good improvement from a lot of the guys over the course of the season. In addition to Kyrell, Bo has impressed me. Dorsey had been great of late. Louth’s improvement has been tremendous. Same with Kenney but for some foul trouble. Bubba shows great flashes but needs to be more consistent. I think Judson has had some stuff going on physically and will be pretty good once he’s 100%. Would like to see Rabs do more but bigs often take longer to develop so I still have hope for him.

If we’re not careful, we’re getting dangerously close to being a tough, well-coached team! Another stat that jumped out to me: we came away with 83% of our defensive rebounding opportunities — 2nd best performance of the year. 4th game in 8 days, on the road for a 5+ hour bus trip, 83% of our minutes played by Freshmen & Sophomore — only 9 turnovers. A must-win game on Monday! Go Cross Go!! BN has brought in some very good athletes. Kudos for that. It took a while for them to buy into/ adapt to his philosophy. While I’m not sold on his vision, you can’t argue with his recent success. Hope it continues. A point well taken regarding the guys who are getting most of the playing time since PL play began. It may be that this year’s lineup is a better matchup v PL opponents than last year’s team.

Any word from our Bucknell posters? Maybe wifi is down in Lewisburg?

Yesterday I had to watch the game on my basement desktop due to water issues down there (that I had to deal with). Thus, I just kept it on mute the whole way. I've now watched some of it on my TV, with the mute at the ready for BINGO. I must say (and I've said before, but bears repeating since I've been a critic): Birdsong apparently does his fair share of prep, based on his commentary as the game progresses. He pointed to many details from the previous meeting, for one thing; he also made mention of Caleb's double double against Harvard. I daresay he watches more PL highlights/replays than our 2 Kevins. I doubt he'll ever abandon his BINGO stuff. I'm sure Bucknell fans enjoyed that a lot more when they were beating Kansas and Arkansas than they are enjoying it right about now.
Someone asked me about the Super Bowl yesterday; I had forgotten it was tonight......it's how I get when I get locked in to Sader hoops!

When Bucknell was making their come-back near the end lof the game. I heard one BINGO on a 3-pointer so loud it hurt my ears. However, I agree he seems to have toned that down a bit and - unlike the dreadful pair at Loyola - he does get info about Bucknell's opponent. Now if he could just lower that BINGO a few decibels...

Speaking of Colgate, 32 of their 55 field goal attempts yesterday in their win over Loyola, came from deep. They made 9. What is it about HC that brings out the best from the Raiders.

I agree Birdsong sans "BINGO!!!!!", is well-versed and does his prep and would otherwise be enjoyable to listen to. But, like 4-acre, he's not going to change.

Bingo is very annoying, but worse is that he's screaming into the mic when he gets excited. Can't imagine anyone is not bothered by that. Can we get these PL announcers to just announce the game, subs in and out, points scored, number of fouls, things we don't know when we're watching. And the last thing I'm interested in..."Kevin what's it going to take for Holy Cross to..."

It will be interesting to see how the roles of JRR and Luc blend when they are both at 100%.

If that caught on, it could provide quality broadcasts consistently. Where might that lead?

Birdsong paying homage to Bob F was first class. It sounds like they had a bit of a relationship.
They come much worse than Birdsong, IMO.

Now that he has toned the BINGO down (or found less reason from Bucknell's play to say it) he is no longer one of the worst announcers.

I did watch, and he certainly did that, just not as often. It is awful when he does, but in between he actually acts like an announcer and even shares information about Bucknell's opponent.

IMO, he has not toned down the BINGO, just that it apparently happens less frequently so he's even more excited and louder when he screams it.
As others have already posted, the trick is to be close to the mute button and as soon as a 3 is hit, quickly tap the mute for a second or two. Of course, if the opponent hits a 3, no need to mute, as BINGO only happens with Bucknell. The other team is probably playing UNO instead of BINGO.

I thought the BINGO calls were more annoying than ever. It’s one thing on Bucknell radio, but when you’re on ESPN+, you should be more professional.
Without that he’d be good. Has anyone tried to tell him ?

Maybe 4-acre? If not when he was alive, maybe he could whisper to him from the grave?
