Not great! How many pL teams are well-positioned to lose their best two players? Well, Colgate lost their best, Burns, and one of their next best, Richardson. So the answer is 1? The team who has dominated the past ~4-5 years? Should expect to already be in that class, 2.5 very short years after Nelson inherited a pile of ashes?

Empty closet, dumpster fire, and now we have "pile of ashes"---- always good to add a new metaphor to your list--kind of freshens up the tired narrative,

One final point from me regarding the BU game, that I don't think has been mentioned (and no, I'm not currently a member of the Future is Bright movement, so stop typing): BU has won something like 7 out of their last 8 games, or 8 out of 9.....with the lone loss being to you know who. They've been playing pretty well. From that, outside of coaching, offensive and defensive strategies, talent, experience, etc, I can only surmise that the effort is still there. It was tied at 50 or 52 before the doggies pulled away. For these final 4 regular season games, I'll volunteer to monitor this while the rest of you study the high ball screens, pick and rolls and hedging on screens.

Likely talking about voices from other colleges We saw on another thread that some college coach doesn't let his kids shake hands after games because opposing coaches and players are doing that whispering. I hope that Luc is happy enough at HC to ignore those whispers, but in today's landscape, it would probably be naive to think no one is whispering

Likely talking about voices from other colleges Yes, and grass root coaches, acquaintances etc It is rampant. It's approaching that time of year when the TP explodes. Perhaps we could pick a number on the over/under in the portal. I am guessing 1650.

Player retention should be a key component in Kit's evaluation. One and done is the antithesis of what it takes to win in the Senior driven PL.

I am guessing 1650. That's close to a starting lineup of five per team. Like to see secure winning coaches rebel and just take a couple more recruits instead of transfers. That would leave the portal migrants only losing programs to choose from.

Some of the transfer bug is the free year. Fifty percent of Crusader basketball players who entered the portal last season were kids who graduated from HC. Butler and Faw's story can't be unique on the college landscape. Reasonable to assume this extra bubble will go for a four year cycle
