Avery and the Overachievers will give it their all, but I'm surprised an objective observer has rated HC as most likely to win the PLT as we were picked to finish fifth preseason.

Creme doesn't make any attempt to rate who will win the tournament. For one-bid leagues, he simply takes the current first place team. HC is currently tied for 1st with Boston U and holds the tiebreaker. Hence they are this week's pick.

Do regular season WBB champs who lose the league tournament get any benefit like the auto bid to the NIT for MBB? I can't recall hearing about this for the WNIT.

That tournament automatically takes the “best” team from every conference who did not get taken for the Big Dance.

The NIT and WNIT intrigue me because even though the "big dance" is the Holy Grail, PL teams have no practical chance of winning the NCAA tournaments, but have a very long shot of winning either the NIT or WNIT.
