And many still need to be frugal based on their endowments and current budgets. Which make Taj Mahal like facilities a real luxury reserved for when a school has money to burn or it has a donor who will give to build an edifice with his name on the side of it but won't give for nameless operating costs, endowment or debt reduction. I think HC is in the catbird seat. Good paid for facilities with some new features like video boards but that haven't been sold out for ages as well as two publicly funded venues downtown for higher capacity (DCU) or great amenities (Polar Park).

Lafayette lost a tough one to Bucknell today...Funk hit a 3 at the end of regulation to put it into OT..Falling out of bounds as the shot clock wound down from 2.2 seconds from the corner....How will they bounce back? No. Funk’s three point shot was the game winner in overtime. He hit it as the shot clock was running out and with perhaps seven seconds left on the game clock. Lafayette actually had a three pointer late in regulation to tie it up and force overtime.

Working class Catholics "Blue Collar" aren't going to HC unless they play BB / FB BTW does anyone know how many Catholics make up the BB / FB team? Well they could get significant financial aid if they were lucky enough to be among the 85% of students that HC meets 100% of financial need for. However that 85% probably includes all full players so HC probably only meets 100% of need for about half the students who have a need. And that I believe is the higher academically qualified half. But back to your point, I was thinking of older smaller Catholic High Schools, many of whom are now closed, which were started on a no frills basis. I get the sense some Catholic Colleges were started with the same frugal mindset. I think HC meets 100% of financial need for all students. The 85% number, I believe, refers to the fact that 85% of students are admitted on a need-blind basis while Admissions checks for need on 15%.. It's a complex issue that deserves a better explanation that I am giving now, but I do not think it's accurate to say that HC "only meets 100% of need for about half the students who have a need."

DraftKings has HC +7. +250 ML
This is a big game for the guys. Got to get to .500 for a decent playoff seed, and the next 2 will be tougher.

During the team's run, the only 2 times I thought the intensity was lacking a bit were the last 2 Monday games. Hopefully they break that streak tonight - no classes today at least, correct?

I think HC's campus and facilities are amazing. For a school its size, first rate. When I look at how the campus has been transformed since I graduated, back when dinosaurs roamed Southbridge St., it fills me with pride. I'll let others dissect and analyze flaws in the campus design.

Unless its "spring break" this week, Holy Cross never honored Presidents' Day or Labor Day. Classes were held both days. Same with Veterans Day. When I was in school, the only holiday that wasn't part of an existing break was MLK Day. Winter break is so long now that it probably envelopes MLK Day now.

Tonight's game could possibly be the last time HC faces Fran O'hanlon.

Bo had his breakout game in the earlier win against Lafayette, scoring a career high twenty-one. He's been our best true shooter this month, hitting 50% of his twos, 44% deep, and 86% from the stripe - averaging 13p, 4r, and playing clutch defense. Looking for him to step up big again tonight. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/bo-montgomery-1/splits/2022

Bad close-outs on the last two Lafayette threes. Energy doesn't look very good.

Fran’s gang is hitting their 3’s consistently.
Louth is rebounding especially well.

Not much to cheer about other than L-MC so far. Down 23-15, under eight. Shooting 29%, a step slow defensively.
