Exceeded my limited expectations. Well played game. If we play this well on Saturday we should pick up our 10th win. It is our 20th loss, but I predict this will be our last 20 loss season for quite awhile.

Coach did a fine job of getting the ball to GG.after we went down by 19. But the substitutions at the 4 position in the last 8-10 minutes were baffling to me

Anyone else have a problem with us letting, letting, letting and letting Colgate run about 80 seconds off the clock in the last 3-4 minutes as they held the ball 40 feet from the hoop, especially when their second half foul shooting was awful. There has to be a better strategy than letting them shorten the game. I found that to be horrible. Fouling would have been much better than that and some sort of trapping defense might have been nice, Anything but basically allowing them to milk the clock.

So true, Hoops. When will we know GG's status for next year? At commencement?

MADDENING. I lost some faith in Nelson with the way this game ended. Come on, have some onions and be aggressive or even foul. You let them greatly shorten the game. Colgate had to be smiling.

HC 22-44 on 2 point FG 7-20 on 3s One might ask, why all the 3s, esp the ones that came early in the shot clock at the start of the second half ?

This was a game that looked at the end of the first half it would again get out of control as it did at Hamilton. These Crusaders refused to let that happen. I did not like the final outcome, but it was great to watch them play. Hopefully they end the regular season with a win.

Colgate had a lot to with letting us hang around with absolutely horrible foul shooting in the second half. They left the door open.

Are you saying that Colgate tried to throw this game by "letting us hang around?" That is quite a leap of faith. We have seen these players refuse to knuckle under in other games. Yes, Colgate shot badly from the line, but could it be that HC coming back as they did rattled them a bit? It was certainly unexpected after the way the first half ended. Do you give HC any credit for what they did in the second half?

Coach did a fine job of getting the ball to GG.after we went down by 19. But the substitutions at the 4 position in the last 8-10 minutes were baffling to me If you watched closely, when Kenney was in the game at he 4, whoever was guarding him, one of the 2 bigs, just sat in the lane guarding the hoop. Never going to the outside with Kenney, whois very limited beyond about 6 feet...When Nelson went with Martindale at the 4 and Dorsey at the 3 along with Gates Luc and Bo, Lehigh had to extend their d and guard everybody..This opened the lane and gave Gates some room away from the doubles he was seeing in the first half...At one point, Woodson was playing Dorsey, Dorsey hit a 3, Lehigh had to get Woodson out of the game...Martindale still has trouble defending, but he can stretch the D and score off the bounce as he did tonight...I thought it was a very good move by the staff to go with that group, and they closed the big lead to 3.... Tonight was one of the better played games we have seen in a while at the Hart..HC gave the best team in the PL all they could handle..this group has gotten so much better as the season has moved on! The sophomores have now played about 30 games, a full season, and their play is showing up....NO give up in this team!! Mike R. is done for the season, and ankle problem that he has been trying to play thru...HC shut him down, they want him to heal.... Tonight was one of the few the games that I have noticed Coach Nelson really on the officials, they did not have a good night, very inconsistent...during one TV timeout, coach Kennedy spent the entire TO talking to one of the refs, I haven[t seen the stats, but it seemed like Colgate shot about 20 more free throws than HC. Colgate is the best team in the league. They do everything well on both ends of the floor, and everybody can shoot the ball....

HC 22-44 on 2 point FG 7-20 on 3s One might ask, why all the 3s, esp the ones that came early in the shot clock at the start of the second half ? Colgate plays VERY good defense...plus they were clogging up the lane taking away the penetration...They didn't defend Kenney when he was on the floor, his man sat in the lane and helped stop penetration....
